In the Scion xB, what is the pioneer model unit of the factory single cd player?

Or, what is the minimum/maximum bitrate it can handle?

I don't know the model unit.

The headunit is a Toyota specific, no pioneer accessories will fit the headunit, the connectors are all different. The unit is no available as a stand alone unit from Pioneer, nor does pioneer sell anything similar to it. The unit is castrated of anyting that is industry standard, no RCA out/in and a toyota specific XM input.

I am a to-be-owner of an xB, and was going to pick one up. I have some audiobooks that are encoded at lower bitrates, so I was curious if they would work on the mp3 unit. Do you know the model number, or can someone be as kind as to look for me?

any bitrate will work, as long as it is MP3 encoded. :wink:

yea, aim for 192 when you're encoding your mp3s, sound is much better.
