Has anyone passed emissions with race headers?
This just came to my mind when I was shopping for headers.
Re-installing every year doesn't sound too appealing.
Is there an easy way to pass this?

not sure what the laws are in your state as far as emissions goes, but here in MD on new models they just hook up to OBDII scan tool, check for codes and thats it

Anyone in Georgia have a race header (not carb exempt) and pass emissions for the yearly check thing?

I don't have one. But I plan on getting a header and installing the Draxas exhaust system (you can swap from the s-pipe back and it does have a hi-flow cat). Not sure if anyone has gone through emissions with this system yet.

Looking for information on CARB approved CAI, headers and cats. In California, you don't have to smog for the first 5 years, but I don't want to have to take all the power stuff off to smog the car every two years.

Hmmm... :ponder:

But won't u be in trouble with "emissions" if you messed with the "cat"?

I had to put quotes so no one will mess with their cat at home.

For people with s-pipes:
Did you get an o2 simulator to pass emissions? What o2 simulators are available for the tC?

No headers or CAI are CARB legal in CA. None! Nada! CA emission laws such hairy donkey scrotum. :tap:

You cannot pass with headers in California unless there is a CARB(California Air Resources Board) sticker on the product for the vehicle. We have the visual inspection and the drving inspection as well. California has very strong smog rules. This is for california, I am not sure what your state says.
