Default Need help to Change my car battery for my Scion xB..

Hi, has anyone changed their battery for their Scion xB? I'm having a hard time doing this.
This is because I have a Optima Red Top and I want to swap it out with the OEM one but the Pos doesn't fit due to the wire that are covered.

Please help, Thanks

So let see if i understand, your replacing your factory battery with an Optima Red Top correct. But the Positive terminal won't fit on to the red top. Because of what wires? The wires on the positive terminal are not long enough or what?
Please explain a little more in depth or if you a digital camera take a pic so we can see what your talking about exactly. Make sure when you ask a question you give us a much info or description as possible (if you will paint us a picture almost)
and your question will get answered a lot quicker. Not trying to be mean just trying to help you out, and help you with your problem.

OK, I have posted some pics so you would be able to help if you look at the pictures on the Positive terminal there's a red plastic block and that's what I am talking about
but if you remove the terminals and try to fit them to the Optima it wouldn't fit correctly that red plastic block huges the side of the OEM battery.

Thanks for your help.

that red box houses a couple of fuses. pain in the butt it is. you can try bending the box up to try and clear the Optima. another option would be get a Yellow Top instead and use the side mount with an adapter to put the box on to.

there is always the option to run all new wires and put your own fuses on the wires. that would be a real pain but an option.

I thought I've seen an adapter that mounts on the battery post and gives you like two posts. maybe a marine store would be a good place to look since boats always have a ton of wires going to their batteries.

Are you using the correct Red Top? It should be the group size 35/75.

Dropped right in my xB with no problems.

I too have a red top on my box and honestly I just bent the terminal a bit until it fit the battery. No problems since .. Now recently I changed the terminal to the ones Tsunami sells with the digital readout and that eliminated all those problems all together. Hope my .02 helps.

I'm using the 35/75 it has no problem going in its just the terminal that I have a problem with on the Red Top the terminals are more towards the middle as for the OEM on its on the corner
I was wounding how i would be able to fix that problem because I can't get the OEM terminal to reach the Red Top terminal.
