It hurts to say that my tC has seemingly developing a tapping noise just recently... the weather is moderately cool (no noise when it was freezing), and the noise only occurs when I go over a bump sometimes... it's like a "tap" (think of a glass type of tap or a plastic type of "snap") eminating from the rear driver's side. Any reccomendations? Sometimes it's loud, sometimes it's soft, and sometimes it double-taps.

I told my parents that I took my car back to the shop and they gave me "the look" and said I should sell the damn car. hah.

 

yes, mine just started that a few days ago. the entrance to my work has a slight but smooth dip, and when i go over that at about 20+mph, i get the same sound. no idea what it was, but i think it is the temperature coupled with the rear glass/hatch.
