Had XA 2 weeks someone hit me!
What is this about, lol. come on people. i just noticed a line of white paint and a small dent right over the left wheel. somone's fing door must have blown open and smacked me. ppl are ignorant! if you know its windy hold your doors! Anyways you can't notice it, but i know its there. The paint was removable, what should i do about the dent. Try to pop it out myself with a dent remover or call a body shop? like i said it ain't that bad but it's ashame
Try a paintless dent removal service.
Lucky you have no paint loss. They can massage out the dent almost perfectly. Had a small little crease on my wife's MBZ, they worked it out and you cannot see it or tell where it was. Even if you know where to look. About $100, but well worth it!
Of course, the worse the crease, the harder to eliminate completly, but it works wonders.
Too bad you can take the $100 out of the fool's @ss that did it. That would help them learn about damaging other people's property.

you're speculating about something that you weren't even there for.
I've had high winds and been at a gas pump and hit my door on the pole by the pump at least 2wice in one day on a trip back from CA to TX - the wind still ripped it from my hands; it was that bad.
there's also ignorant jack holes out there too... known as 'door slammers' by the hot rod culture. and there's the ones that can't even fit in their cars very well... women.. children.. ahg the list goes on, but the one thing to do is get a sensitive alarm w/ 2-way paging and go see what's going on when the peron hits you. >
^^Yup, they're usually the ones with the primered, dented, rusty, expired tags POS ride parked angled across two spots or two inches from your door
Banging your door and getting more paint on their door is an upgrade. Look at the edges of their doors. All chipped up. You know the ones. Only ONE way to chip a door there.
Only thing they care less about is YOUR car.
lalagimp, sorry about your door...twice in one day...at least you didn't ding someone elses.

I may be overly paranoid for a 14k car, but it's my first new car and I want to protect my investment. Before it arrived at the dealer I would point to my wife at the end of the parking lot wherever we shopped and say "see that car? No the one behind it... get ready to walk about 50 feet farther than that." (actually i usually offer to drop her off, this is Minnesota, after all) Lol, but when you think about it, an extra 10 seconds of walking is worth the peace of mind. There is almost always a deserted part of the lot, or an empty lot next door to where you are going. It's actually interesting when you notice that a lot of times, people park clumped together, when there are rows and rows of empty spaces right next to them. Herd mentality, innit... Anyway, it's a habit I have picked up and it works for me.

Cost doesn't matter...a $500 beater or a $80,000 Viper...it's about looking beyond your own insignificant little excuse for an existance to realize that there are other people in the world deserving of respect.
Then there's the ones who say 'it's just a car'...man, I gotta go calm down...
I'm sorry to hear it happened to you...I gave the xA a nice hand wash a couple weekends ago to find under the salt a nice scratch/slight dent from someone's door. If only I could find whoever did that...
