MTV right? lol

yeah I saw it, very good movie, many many things about it that I don't agree with, then again, many other things I did find myself agreeing with. pure entertainment was my bigest liking of it,

the movie itself was not very deep, it was very predictable, now, the script was very well written, "V's" diolague and character was constructed with great skill, and Portman was still hot with a shaven head!

verdict: Another movie to be added to my personal collection... (very good movie)

Rocked me like a hurricane.
I was like "Here I am, rock you like a hurricane!"
This movie stomped so much arse they had to import colons from other countries to keep up with the demand.

That movie was great! I'm not one for seeing movies over again, but I'll probably buy this on DVD. I'm not familiar with the comic, so the story was fine with me. And for those that have seen it, I think they did a great job during the whole part of Portman's head being shaved-timeframe. Awesome.

There is nothing to 'Spoil' really. Matter of fact, the trailer kinda gives everything away. The real story is all about V, who or what "he" is. Believe me, he's not your average goodie two-shoe hero.

It's also the old story of how people can do the wrong thing for the right reasons, the facades we all hide behind, and the symbols we create that get perverted and need to be shattered in order to evolve as a society. I'm embaressed to say there is a moment that quite moved me at the end. Maybe because everyone actually gave a damn and did something about it. Ha! It really IS sci fi! I digress.

Needless to say, im very critical of film and this is very, very well done. Something for everyone.

My wife and I were so .....in awe... for lack of a better word that we didnt say anything for the 15 minute car ride home after we saw it. Very VerY good movie. It makes you question everything going on around you and not in a slanted one minded way but in an open educational way.

just so you know, theres a book called "1984"
I hate reading, but this book is amazing, it was written long before the 1980's and foresaw the year 1984 as the future.
It basically coined the terms "big brother" and "self war" which involves a the government being big brother, and the govt causing self war (for ex. attacking itself, to create a sense of unity within the country)... wow... amazing how true this could all be. Anyway, take it from someone who doesnt like reading novels, this is WELL worth the read... and you hear references to it ALL the time. V for Vendetta is def. 1984-esque

George Orwell's 1984 IS amazing..

also check out "Farenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.. There is a scene between Natalie Portman and the TV station Co worker (that takes place in his house) that really reminded me of that book.

my favourite part about the movie is that they cast John Hurt to play Chancellor Sutler. For those of you that don't know, Hurt played Winston in Nineteen Eighty Four. Those of you that have read the book/seen the movie can see the irony in that.
