s0rry br0.. If I could help I would.. I would suggest trying to put a small resume together.. maybe have your friends or family to help you with that.. I would also keep your eye out on sites like Monster, Yahoo Hot Jobs, etc.

UPS (Hunt Valley) is hiring for Loaders/Unloaders in the AM shifts....if u don't mind workin 4am till 8 or 9am then its not a bad job.

U could do that in the mornin and then wash cars in the afternnoons. If u stuck it out long enough u would be able to jump right into a driving position when u turned 21.

April, if you have a resume setup, send it my way. If you don't mind driving to Springfield, I might have something for you. I can try to ask if there's something closer to home, but no guarantees.

Most of the jobs I can help people getting are more administrative type jobs, unless you have a degree or some pretty good technical experience, especially military.

I can also look into laborer type positions and janitorial positions.

You would have to be at least 18, be able to work full time, be able to work flexible schedules, and be able to pass a background check. You may need a clearance also, but if you don't have one, you have to make sure your record is clean. I'm not sure a polygraph would be necessary, but can't rule that out either. Also, all positions require a drug test, but that shouldn't be a problem.

bLaNc0
03-24-2006, 03:35 AM
DRUG TEST!!! OH NOOOOo, lol j/k oki imma send you my resume by the end of next week. and just so you know ill be 18 at the end of april.

There are also warehouse and logistics jobs that are open. what might hurt you Blanco is not exactly having graduated high school just yet.

I work for Lockheed Martin. We have all sorts of different jobs from janitors and drivers to engineers. Name some skills and there might be a job that covers it.

Someone that works with Booze-Allen said that they might be hiring soon and starts off around $80k + 15% shift bonus. I'm not sure what all the qualifications are, but he said knowledge of networks is needed. Otherwise I can see about openings in the NOC or computer security with Lockheed.

PM me your full resume and I'll see what I can do. I can't make any promises that I can get a job for you.

If you get in with Lockheed, the benefits are pretty good (I think). You get up to $7500/year tuition reimbursement for college courses. Reimbursement includes cost of books and application fees, but they won't cover software and a couple minor things like parking permit and fees for transcripts/credit transfers. You get full benefits the first day you start work too.

You can get some good info and look for opportunities that interest you at http://www.lockheedmartin.com/wms/findPage.do?dsp=fec&ci=6&sc=400 If you find something that interests you, I can get a salary range for that particular job. All you have to do is let me know what the job requisition number is and I'll look it up. You can try to submit a resume thru their website, but I haven't really seen anyone get hired for posting there, unless it's an impressive resume.

I hear Booze-Allen has great benefits too, but I'm not sure what they are.

I work at a customer site that has contracts with several different companies. A lot of the bigger gov't contractors have employees working at this location. Most people I work with are from Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Boeing. I meet a lot of people at work, esp on smoke breaks, lol.

I'm just a lowly electronics tech working on an engineering degree. I'm about to become a shift supervisor, but that's another story.
My manager and all of the supervisors love me, so they tend to pull favors for me. It doesn't guarantee that I can get a job for people, but it should help.
