Default Camouflage Discontinued?

My wife and I are looking at buying an xB. The dealer we are talking to says that the Camouflage Green color has been discontinued and is no longer a choice for us. Does anyone know if this is true (obviously I don't really trust this guy)?

Also, on a seperate topic, he says the rear spoiler really helps air flow, etc.. Do any of you believe that it actually helps or is it just cosmetic?

Thanks!

I vote for Blue Onyx Pearl, because I've seen waay too many Black Cherries on the road already. If the color is indeed dicontinued, then that would make it more rare than the Hot lava

let me guess.... they have the other colors in stock on the lot ready to be bought.....

try a different salesman. i had salesmen tell me that there was no way for me to get a black sand pearl xb 5spd because they simply didnt have any on the east coast.

i went to several dealerships, then checkered flag said they'd put one on order for me if i put down a $500 deposit. it took 6 weeks of waiting.... but i got what i wanted. supposedly it was ordered to be built for me from scratch. might be true, might not. i did get the car with only 1 mile on it.

just try another salesman or dealership. im sure some salesman really needs a sale and will do anything to get what you want.

if you can afford to wait, you'll be really happy to get what you want.

they should have made the rs1 the camo green... it looks better... and you see less of them.

on the east coast, it seems like every color BUT the hot lava is the minority.... should be opposite beeing the hot lava is such a limited color. the shape of the car is flashy enough.... why go with the overkill of the orange?? yuck....

back to the original post

go to another dealership, and find another salesman.....
GET THE CAMO!! ITS DOPE, ITS RARE, AND EVERYONE JOCKS IT!!

itll be worth the wait and the fun of finding one.....

From what I can tell at scion.com and using the dealer search camo is still very much available. They are more scarce than the other colors but that doesn't mean you can't get one. Try another dealership.

The spoiler is mostly cosmetic. Because of the inside curve it does direct air down which helps keep the rear window cleaner but it will not affect driveability.

Yeah, like what everyone have said, go to another dealer. Order yours online with the OPTIONS you want and the price and NOT what the dealership forces you to buy.

I pick BOP because thats what orderd and the Cherry looks like a moms color car. Also I test drove a Camo and I didnt think that there was anything special about it.

The guys gotta be full of it. When there's only 6 colors to choose from and one that is uhhumm "limited" I would think stopping one of those would come with an announcement that at least ONE of the dealers active on here would have gotten.

With Pure Pricing, it's all about the service the dealer gives you. I'd try calling another dealer and/or the Scion hotline and ask them. If you find out the guy lied. I'd call him on it and then tell the dealership's GM why you're NOT going to do business with a shady salesman like that.

The dealer I went to didn't have a Camo in stock but it only took him a day to get one.

Camo is by far the BEST of the dark colors. Shows fewer swirls and scratches that BOP or BCP and doesn't oxidize as fast as BSP. Plus at night its hard to tell what color it really is...

Check the Scion corporate site. Camo is still there. Why would Scion discontinue what is probably the most popular color? What the salesman was really saying was that he didn't have any camo xBs to sell.

Considering his self-serving information about color availability I would check for myself if he said that the sky was blue.

I didn't go for the spoiler and don't miss it at all. The corner is abrupt enough that airflow will separate cleanly without the add-on. Considering the car-wash damage I've seen on Scion spoilers I wouldn't want to have one on my car.

Not to mention that it looks better without, IMO. Boxes weren't meant to have aerodynamic tack-ons!

Hey i dont think the car will ever look like a moms car. I just meant the color. I guess I used the wrong word "Mom" to describe it. Its just that its the color you see on the dodge caravan. On the Xb you could put any color on it and it will look cool but thats just not the one I would prefer. Sorry if I offended anyone.
