Default 0 Guage Wire Length for XB???

I am about to order up some 0 gauge power wire, and am trying to buy the right length.

How much will I need to run from the battery down the driver side, to the back of the rear seat? How much to do the Big 3?

If I were to throw out a SWAG I would say 20 ft should be enough, but I was hoping for a more accurate guesstimate

Thanks!

I would say 16-18ft would be more than enough to go from battery back to behind the rear seats, i think i used about 12ft under my hood regrounding evrything, but thats just me and my opinion. i would say just go measure the lenght of your car and ad 2or3 ft on for any ups and downs you will have to go thru, while running it in the car, plus its always better to have more than less.

I wanna say 17...I'm running 0 AWG from battery to rear deck and I think that's how much I used, of course that length goes to about the center of the back seats and then splits to 2 4 AWG wires to the amps. Also I'd say to consider how you're gonna route it in your engine compartment, don't forget that 0 AWG is a bit harder to bend and, at least the ANL fuse holder I'm using is gigantic...I'm actually really interested in the JL audio ANL holder that pivots at the terminals.

yeah, unfortunately so many of their designs are so revolutionary that they end up being patented and you can only get them from jl, who usualy charges alot for their products. Speaking of which if anybody knows the price for the 0 gauge ANL fuseholder could you post it? I've never actually been able to find one for sale. I'm pretty sure they have them at tweeter/hi-fi buys but I can't stand to shop retail bc I work as an installer for Best Buy and once you've had the discount you can't go back

I hear that invisible21, Circuit City installer here, but our discount isnt as good as it use to be, yours is pretty good from what i have seen. But i have had no luck finding alot of JL audio products on line either. I'll stop by there booth this weekend at Spring Break nationals, and see if they can send me in the right direction for it, ill let you know.

^^ not many JL products are online because JL does not allow online sales.... any products from JL you DO find online will not carry a JL serial number, therefore, if you buy online and something breaks, when you send it to JL for repair they're going to charge you out the butt because they'll have to re-issue a serial number to the part...

I probably wouldn't buy an amp or speaker online but something like a fuseholder isn't really going to break so I wouldn't stress about it. I think I would even buy it retail if it was reasonable...I just have no idea what they're selling for

Yeah SCI_TC_GUY, i knew that also, all the JL Audio product that i had bought in the past was from local shops(authorized dealers), beleive me i wouldnt buy JL amps or subs online just because they dont warranty it ,unless it is an authorized dealer. But like invisible said you think they would sell fuse holders and other accs. online to make some money, but he ill drive down the road to where they make the stuff and get some. But thanks for the info im sure there are some people out there that didnt know this and wont buy it online now, so they can get the warranty.

It's not only the warranty isssue, the product is ripped apart to remove all the serial numbers and pieced back together. The product you get will be DOA or fail in a short time. Non-warranty repair is rooughly 50% of the retail price. When shipping is factored, retail is cheaper.
If you like to buy on the web, do yourself a favor and buy brands that do authorize internet sales. If you want JL Audio, it's a better choice to buy from your local authorized JL Audio retailer who also sets the selling price.

^^^ I don't think I'd go as far as to say it'll be DOA or fail shortly... I've had my online purchased VR650-CSi's for a little over a year and they're still bangin like new.... If I wouldn't have gotten such a cool deal on them from online, I wouldn't have bought them at all.... they're not worth the retail in most cases IMO...

I would. I deal with crying consumers who were ripped off by internet schlock shops every day.

Well, guess you gotta know who to go to.... there are people other than "JL" who can properly disassemble and reassemble speakers/amps/xovers/whatever..
