I've just put my $$ down on a new Xb (I'm so excited yadda yadda). I have to carry some gear around for work, and the case that I keep it all in is too big for the back with the seats up (which I'd prefer). So.. I'm shopping for some smaller cases to replace the one big one, but I don't know exactly how much room I have to work with. If one of you owners could help me out with the distance to the closed hatch from the base of the seats and the top of the seats, I'd be grateful. Thanks so much.

With out measuring it is about 6'+/- 1 or 2 inches from the seat back to the hatch.
And between doors it is 4' +/- between wheel wells it is about 6" narrower.
dont ask me what height is inside never measured it but I did cut plywood for a floor.

From the back of the back seats (seats up), I get about 18 inches from the top of the seats, more like 21/22 from the bottom part of seat back. Only had a ruler....car is 66 inches wide according to specs, but probably less inside due to trim.....Is that helpful?
