Just got my 2005 Scion XB-Thunder Cloud. The problem was that scion advertised easy and fun for built to suite. But for the last two week it has not been easy and fun. Every dealership I go to, ignores me or tell me that it will be impossible to get a Xb in black, with tie bar , and manual, and that’s it. " We get the cars already built with accessories and we can not remove the $120 car mats, or the cargo net" All I want is a Black manual with a tie bar like scion.com website says. I even made one of those brochures, with my car, not there car my car. So after a reality check and I need a car now, and I settled with the thunder gray with accessories that I don’t need, paying $1200 more than what I wanted. Hey I love the car but for the first time I hated buying a car. There’s no built to suite scion is there?
Anyone in Riverside County recommends a good car shop where I can get custom business decals. Email me at myscion@step1productions.com
Thanks

Hey,

Welcome to the board and I am sorry that the deler gave you such a har time.

The scion mentallity as you mentioned is that there is no hassle on the price and that you get what YOU want! The problem is that TOO many of the dealers out there are adding a whole bunch of accesories in order for them to get more money and be A** holes about it!

Maybe if you could have done a little more research with other dealers you might have been able to find what you were looking 4!

Just my 2 cents!

As far as my buying experience it was great! I originally wanted a black XB but after seeing the ThunderCloud car they had in the show room I fell in love with it. I got to the dealer at 10:30 and I was out with my ThunderCloud by 2:30....I loved it!

soooo many dealerships told me that a black xb 5spd was out of their reach and that i would not be able to get one..... after a $500 deposit and 6 wks later..... i got my black xb 5spd.

if a dealership close to you has a black xb 5spd w/ floor mats.... take the $120 hit and get it. just imagine what the quality of the rug is under the floor mat.... prolly worse. or, go through the horrible wait of getting one......

chances are, they want you to buy whats on the lot. its worth the time to wait n get what you really want.

When I bought my first one from Scion of Annapolis it was great, quick and hassle free. Granted they put up a lot with me coming in every week checking on the status! The second one, unfortunately, I had to go elsewhere because Scion of Annapolis was originally not allotted a 6201 Hot Lava  but they did find me one in Alexandria. Wish Annapolis had it after dealing with them :(

I had the best buying experience ever.....

I went in and they had a lav... but they sold it... so I had them call me when they got the next one in.. before it even got off the truck I was there... Anthony Smith from King Scion in Pompano/Deerfield FL, is the nicest/best salesperson ever!! :D :D :D :D :D
