Default Not a racer but...

I know that the xb isn't the fastest car around, at all, and I don't even try to race but I had an newer model saturn pull up to me the other day. It had the worst sounding exhaust, prob just a univ muffler. Anyways, mr. rockstar kept reving his motor at me so I figured what the hell. Long story short I totally dusted him with the few bolt on mods that I have. Just thought I would let ya'll know what cars we can beat with ours.

I agree completly! I was on my way to trade in my box today(for a new truck)... kind of on a whim, and while I was on my way I was like damn this car is fun to drive and I sure will miss it... next stoplight I flipped a u-turn and went back home. All the bolt on's sure help this cars fun to drive factor.

It is a fun car to drive. I'm looking forward to more aftermarket parts and hopefully some nice motor swap kits.

Here's a couple to add to your list and both cars were trying hard to race, 2000 Ford Mustang, and 1999 V-Tech Honda Prelude, oh yeah and there were three people in my B at the time for both, LoL, suckers.

in 2000 ford didnt make the mustang with a 4cyl only 6 and 8. They made them with a 4cyl for the last time in 93 if I am not mistaken. but I could be wrong.

Well damn you just brightened my day with this post, it was only a guess that it was a 4 banger. Hold on i think im falling over cause i got a swelled head now. Wow a box beat a V6 mustang, that sure is sad.

First, V6 Mustangs are anemic at best. Even supercharged they aren't much of a winner. The Mustang is a heavy car for that weak V6.

Second, as the owner of '98 Prelude Type SH, I can tell you that the owner of the 99 either wasn't racing or was asleep. Even the automatic Prelude would be able to beat up on a mildly modified xB. I don't even like my car that much, and can't wait to sell it. But I must say that the last generation Prelude does not drive at all like the car it is. It is big and heavy for the little inline 4 under the hood. But it performs surprisingly well. I have embarrassed quite few ego driven V8 owners on the freeway in that car. And yes, they were aware they were racing. You don't hit 120 and not be aware you are in a race.

Bottom line? Very few xBs in existence would come close to hanging with a stock Prelude.

Thanks for bringing me back down to earth RTon20s, LoL. I think the prelude was driver error, becuse he was trying. We raced three times, i won the first and the third, and he won the second because i was already stopped at the light and he rolled into it when it changed. But any ways,no matter what it is still a box. Oh yeah and wait to give the wife her present, i know i have a hard time keeping presents from my wife to, im sure she will like it thou.
