View Full Version : just ordered k&n typhoon lppro-xb 03-27-2006, 12:29 AM ya so i just ordered a typhoon (a cupple days ago).. says it will be here tomorow anyone have any tips on the install? jct 03-27-2006, 12:39 AM it'll come with details instructions lppro-xb 03-27-2006, 01:10 AM ya i kno but i figured maby someone might have some extra tips or something...... dredge38 03-27-2006, 01:16 AM no its pretty easy just follow the instructions, no real tricks or tips to it lppro-xb 03-27-2006, 01:19 AM cool thanks i guess. i like easy... SwaTx21 03-27-2006, 02:52 AM ya, instructions are straight forward, put it on piece py piece. one thing i over looked was that it comes with an allen key to tighten your hose clamps. i also had 1 extra washer. after install my idle seriously is at about 300 - 500 rpm. so the engine will die down then you'll hear the thing suck up some air then engine will gain more rpm. but i also have headers , so u may see that. put when i sharply step the gas you can hear a quick suck of air. nothing real cool but you can hear it. lppro-xb 03-27-2006, 11:00 PM ya this thing is sweet jus got back from the test drive i could hear and feel the defference, i love the sound!!! Easyoboe2 03-28-2006, 02:46 AM Just how much louder is the Typhoon than stock? SwaTx21 03-28-2006, 05:21 AM . . . i dont think you can hear the stock intake. Easyoboe2 03-28-2006, 11:55 AM So, you mean the Typhoon IS noisy. I can stand a little noise, I just want to know what I'm getting into. When I was young, like most of you seem to be, I put an Abarth muffler on my Porsche. I t looked great with 4 pipes and it sounded great around town, but the drone on the highway was a bummer. lppro-xb 03-28-2006, 10:44 PM well i dono how much louder over stock b/c i also have a dc sprots exaust but id def. sounds and proforms great... |
