Did a search, but nothing.....
Anybody else open their tailight access panels and find a piece of what looks like sound deadening material, about 5 in. square 2in. thick..... just "tossed" inside? what's the deal with that??

Yeah i found that too, along with some sort of clear plastic tube....not sure what that is for either. One complaint i have about the xB is how when i play loud bass, it seems like the whole car is going to rattle apart...Maybe its because of the sound deadening material thats just thrown around.

i can understand the use of sound deadning material.... but come on..... just tossing it in there?? Maybe we should all mail them back "en masse" to Scion and tell them they left these behind.....

I believe that the piece of foam is to prevent the wires for the tails from rattling against the inside of the body panel. If it werent there, there may be one hell of a rattle if the xB was jostled in a certain way. The other thing, the clear tube, thats your feeder tube for the rear spray nozzle for the rear wiper.

Im pretty happy scion put that there. I dropped a bolt when changing my tail-lights and the foam saved it.
