Default REmoving rear wiper??

Since my xB was in an accident and I will be needing a new rear liftgate, i was thinking about having the body shop not reinstalling the rear wiper and having them fill the hole and make it completely clean on the back.

Anyone do this yet? any comments appreciated...

i did this to my eclipse... it's not hard and it does come out looking clean... they'll just weld a round piece in and bondo it smooth. looks clean but you'll miss the wiper sooner or later. i was all happy the back was shaved clean, i even got rid of my ant. on my eclipse. started raining, it didn't bother too much, but then the car got dirty, lol, rain and dirty make it hard to see out the back.

this should be really easy since the xB is real flat. i don't think it has been done yet, but it could have been and person not post.

I was thinking about doing it since the wiper rattles when my system is on!

I actually did this to my Corrado, removed the panel inside, took out the motor, arm, blade, etc. Plugged with with a rubber grommet and stop and sealed it with silicone.

Turned out REALLY well. I guess the rear Scion wipers don't do much then.

I'm actually getting it done to my rear hatch as we speak, but here is what it will end up looking like; the NKB bB.

Thanks for posting the pic. I think that made it final for me...i like the clean look. I should be able to tell the body shop to do that for me without any problems. I should have it back from the body shop early next week so I will post pics when finished.

Several people including myself used the hole for a rear mounted camera...
