I want to get the PIAA wiper blades as rain season will be coming. thanks, dchan8 WeirdStyles_net 11-07-2003, 09:12 PM Are you aware that a set of $8.99 Trico wiper blades at you local Pep Boys will preform JUST as well as PIAA or BOSCH blades? Its like upgrading washer nozzles. Sure it might spay more, but what does it REALLY do.... 2fixA 11-08-2003, 02:00 AM was kind of wondering myself, is there any special reason to seek out the PIAA wiper blades? are they that much better than any other piece of rubber, or is it an entire blade with something attached to the rigid part to make it stand out? just curious... dchan8 11-08-2003, 02:15 AM i like the piaa ones because they are silicone based. being silicone based, they won't wear on the windshild like the standard ones. you notice the wiping motion on older cars vs. a new car's window. if the other ones are silicone based, i'll use those too, but i believe the piaa ones are the only ones that are silicone based. btw - thanks for answering my question. Dylan 08-25-2004, 04:31 AM Yeah, what ARE the wiper blade lengths for all three wipers on the xB? Theglen10 08-26-2004, 04:09 AM Get out a measuring tape and find out. Or, you can go to your local auto parts store and ask them and while you are there you can buy them. tcm_xB 09-01-2004, 08:14 AM I've noticed that keeping the windshield (rain-x) and standard wipers clean of debris makes a world of difference. I don't see paying extra for the name PIAA. The $3 Wal-Mart cheapies work well. |
