anyone know of any twistie roads near central fl??
youre pretty much out of luck in the search for the twisty roads around central florida. i live in Lakeland and there arent any around here, however one day on a ride to orlando we cut off of I4 onto i think it was Sand Lake road, (an exit near orlando) and after you get away from the interstate a few miles it got pretty twisty, it was fun for me anyway on the R6 and it was a fairly long road. some of the orlando locals probably know more about it.
Well it'll all be over w/ when I hit up deals gap in april hehhehehhehe
Went to ocala national forest expecting a few turns, 300miles wasted and not a single turn (other then those reallllly gradual ones)
Off 46 in sanford, then waverly, then turning toward apopka their is a .5 mile section but not worth it

Apopka has alot of twisty back roads, but you might run over a drill press like bioharzardous custums did. Almost all major highways and road have the twisties removed for safety. You will need to travel the back roads to find some.
Twisties are normally the result of topography, ie. mountains, etc. To get the real thing I guess you'd have to get north of Atlanta. Your best local source would be: https://www.fldotmpubs.com/pls/orbit...?version=FLDOT
I had to drop a friend off at work at the Orlando Watersports Complex near the airport. It is right next to the UPS sort facility... The road I took to get there is pretty windy, but it's also a pothole hell...
