That's because a lot of older people buy them just for the utility and price. There are a lot of SICK xBs in the MD/DC/VA area. You're just not hanging out with the right people. :come: Let us show you the light...

I'm sure there are some nice rides around, it's just that whenever I see one it looks half assed like mine. . . then again I really don't have much on my box. I was going to join a car club like ScionEvo of MD but it fizzled out when I decided I was going to join. It would be nice to get a drink with some other local scion owners.

i would be in for some meets in rockville. oh yea and about the cops busting everyone, i personally experienced that. what they do is they will come up to someone maybe playing their music loud, then they will get out and start asking the driver some questions. At the same time they arrange other cops to block the exits and as everyone tries to leave they ticket you. luckily i got away because i sliiped through the back exit. lol, i havent gone there since that

I was there for like 15 minutes last night. This what at 10:30. I have to say, there were a buttload of cars there. The weather is beautiful and people are starting to come out. I showed up in my supercharged tC and looked for other scions. Found 2 tCs(thats it).
Here is the funny thing: As soon as I parked. 2 different guys walked right up to me and asked if I wanted to race them. One guy had a Cobalt SS runnin 15psi and the other was a turbo'd eclipse gs. I told them "I don't street race". especially around Rockville. I was like "why is everyone trying to race the Scion?"

cause they are trying to be "fast and furious". . .those kinda people get my goat. ha ha ha.

It's because tCs are Toyota's only sporty coupe. If I were looking for someone to race, I'd look around for a stereotypical street racer: someone young in a lowered sport compact with a modified exhaust and aftermarket wheels. That's what I'd look for first. I'd also look for racing equipment, safety gear, (useful) gauges and tell-tale signs of engine modification.

Note: APC day-glo shift light tachometers, stickers and aluminum wings were not mentioned in this posting. Those are for ricers, not racers. :P

Most of the time when they break everything up, I just wait in the lot, watching people go. I have a good friend who is a cop in MoC and he has came up there once or twice on duty. He said that most of the time when they break it up, its because either someone is doing something "fishy" *drugs, weapons* or cause people are revvin the engines and doing burnouts.

I finally went to the D&B in Rockville.. that is pretty small.. and I have never been to that mall before either..

But there is a Bloomingdales, a Pottery Barn, and a Cheesecake Factory. What more can you ask for? There used to be a lot of meets at D&B. The top of the parking deck right by the D&B entrance is more than sufficient for a little get together.
