Those of you who upgraded your sway bars...did you guys try driving with just the rear updated and not the front?

Did you notice any change in response? and handling

Reason I am asking is I think i just want to put on the rear and keep the front stock

I will probably just wait till the Progressive rear bar comes out to upgrade

i duuno if it's such a good idea. stiffer in the rear usually causes the rear to come loose easier making it easier to lose control. i'm just speaking generallytho. the xb might be different, but i doubt it.

Well seeing that there is such a small one techincally in the back I see no problem just upgrading the rear....the only way for this car to break loose if there was enough power to break it loose...whichh there isnt.....upgrading just the rear will allow the car to go more nose down into the corner and give it alot better turn in which you want since this is a front wheel drive car which naturally ugghhhh i always get this flip flopped naturally understeers(hopefully I didnt get it wrong) generally fwd cars at higher speeds or going into corners are harder to turn compared to a rwd car...so personally and from what I have on my eclipse which is front and rear sway bar upgrades i think i just want to do the rear this time

There have been a few discussions on this. Check this thread out. There is also another thread on this that can be linked from the one below.

Also, I think that Jackmott is running only the rear sway. You might try PMing him.

Stiffening the rear of the car will make the care more prone to oversteer (sliding the rear out). On a car that normally understeers (plows) into corners, this could bring you more towards neutral. On a car that already oversteers, this makes the difference between sideways and backwards. ;)

If you feel your car understeers, give the rear bar only a shot and see how you like it. You can always change back if the results aren't what you want, or go with an even stiffer front bar to transfer some of the weight back to the rear.
