Here is a vid from last night at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Every other friday they hold an 1/8th mile track event. The turnout is always nice. This particular event had anywhere from 200-300 racers and three times that amount of spectators.
Anyway,
A buddy of mine and I went heads up a couple of times to compare a stock tc to a moded one.
He has (and he can correct me if i'm wrong) a K&N CAI, Alphawerks Headers, Zpi S pipe and a Megan Racing axle back exhaust on Pirelli tires. He is on the left

I am bone stock...

Reaction times were fairly close but my 60' was 2.49 to his 2.65 (he was trying a different launch)
I felt him start to pull near the end of 2nd gear and into 3rd. This run he won by a length, if that.

Our next run was a different story...
with Reaction and 60' times being near identical,
He easily pulled me into 3rd and took the race by 2 lengths.
I ran a 10.47 on both runs @ 69 mph
He had a 10.46 and then a nice 10.19 @ 71 mph

This was so much fun and it gave us a great chance to see what the cars can do with everyday mods. Personally, I think that $1500 worth of mods such net better performance but this was only an 1/8th track and he clearly would have destroyed me in the quarter...

For stock, you did pretty decent, but he should have done alot better for the mods that he had.

he should learn how to drive.. with exhaust, new tires & s-pipe I could hit a 9.4-9.6 easily.

here's some runs with intake & header only on stock tires:

I thought that with an additional 15 whp it would have improved the car much more than it showed last night. Driver is definitely a variable...
