Is it possible to powdercoat those? I know you will need paint that can stand the heat like caliper paint but would it effect it's performance in any way? I dont think it will since the paint is on the outside obviously but just to be sure? Its just an idea just so i can keep the engine bay looking better other than different type of polishes!

I plan on painting it Flat Black or something around that? Any suggestions and if anyone has pics do post them!

Check out this duplicolor high heat engine paints. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/engine.html. Not sure though but they say it can withstand 500 degrees. My guess is yes. And if you do post pics.

im not sure about powdercoating, but for the headers, you can do thermal coating. i was thermal coat my AW header black. it keeps some of the heat from escaping into the rest of the engine bay, and i think it does help in performance a little. i decided not to becase i like how the AW header looks vs. a thermal coated one. intake is probably easier to do since it wont get as hot as the header.

theres my engine bay...i used the dupli color enamal 500 degree paint for the valve cover..and thres no problem with the heat or anything...
im gonna buy a DC strut bar soon and plan on spraying it silver or something

and AW headers silver too..bc i cant stand it when they turn gold...
if it works well..ill be sure to tell u
im pretty sure it is..other ppl have done the strut bar..gotta make sure though first...u dont want melted paint all over ur bay

^^ hey your valve cover looks a little warped..is it? or is it just the weird reflection of light?

For the headers, you should be careful, the high temp paint that is used on the rest of the engine will not be good enough for the headers. They can get up anywhere from 800-1000 degrees and it will cause most paints to flake off. Your options are either get a ceramic coating like Jet-Hot or look for high temp paint that can operate up to 1200 degrees.

That's actually not a valve cover up top. That's just the engine cover that goes on top of the actual valve cover. So it doesn't get anywhere near as much heat as the actual valve cover.

THIS is a painted valve cover:
