Hey
I'm planning to put a subwoofer in my tC. I was wondering if anyone could make a box for me that would fit under the carpet in the trunk. (I guess kinda like the RS2 tC)

I would pay for this :P
Thanks

I'm planning to put an Alpine SWS-1242D, but I haven't decided on the amp yet.
How much you think he would charge for it?

The space next to the spare tire might be a little shallow for a 10", at least if you want to keep your stock floor panels and stock height. I can do fiberglass enclosures, price depends on how crazy you want to get.

There is room on pass side, floor may need to go up a little. I have seen a TC with two 10" on that side looked reallygood. It will need to be glass on underside. Call me for a price Bill 707 275 8823 Shop 707 489 2690 cell

I'm only looking to spend about $40. So I just want something simple.
Would a 10 inch fit next to the spare tire?

Not gonna get that cheap What sub you puttin in I can sell you the box I already have... but I built a false floor for it so its flush mounted... and that would cost alot more then 40

Well like I told Keith, I don't know much about subs and stuff.
I said $40 because they sell boxes for around that price on ebay.

Sup Rice, hate to say it but if you want something that's stealth for a 10" sub you're gonna need to pay. The sub needs a box that has a specific volume of air inside, which is more than what the storage area can provide (unless you take out the spare, maybe). A custom MDF (wood) box to fit under the carpet (inluding tire area) would prob cost more than $40, assuming it will fit at all. You should save up and get something that will make you happy. And never never never ever ever never buy anything that says "PYLE" on it no matter how good it might look, cuz it is indeed a pile of shiznit.

Hey I had "PYLE" drivers in my first car (never even drove it)...they were the swap meet specials and I bought 4-10" ones for like 35$ and I knew right away they were the "shiznit" and I had them mounted in a box I made out of (now dont laugh too hard) cardboard sitting in the backseat running off of an old book shelf stereo....awesome...I think we later used them as the base for bike ramps or something like that (I was like 13)
