So i've been pretty busy on my car in the past few weeks. I figure since im poor, and have had no work at work. i'd start doing things to the tC. i work in a body shop so its nice to have resources :-D

First thing i did was paint my konig unkowns....SO FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO GAVE ME SH*T ABOUT GETTING THEM, AND TOLD ME THE WHOLE WORLD HAS THEM...LOOK AT THIS.....





and then i had spare change so iwent and did angel eyes....



and finally i decided to get rid of that antenna and go straight smooth. it looks beautiful and was pretty easy to do.



I can take more pictures and such if anybody wants...comments and complaints are welcome!

 

hmm.. those Konig unknowns.. they were black originally right? looks like you painted them FM where it was black before. it's a subtle difference.. but it adds that little detail to them that makes them look even more clean. very nice.

also the shaved antenna looks clean.. but like another comment i've heard.. it does look naked

and the angel eyes... very nice touch.

i didn't think i'd like the wheels but they look great. i'd probably add some spacers to bring them out flush with the body (but then i'd probably have to roll the fenders).

 

yeah ithought about that..but i dont want to deal with the rolling...im not sure what im gonna do yet...

the shaved antenna rocks - i wanna do it to my tc soon.

what replacement antenna did you use and where did you mount it.

i was going to get the Metra one and mount it to the glass, but am open to all suggestions.

 

well i only mounted mine inbetween the quarter and the interior panel...its just temperary until i get satelite radio.

it still sounds fine in town..but as soon as i go outside of town..it kinda dies off.

he's talking about the hatch handle....wher the scion logo once was..i shaved it off and now its flat.

and if you send me it im thinking somewhere in the vacinity of 75-100 dollas...i'll have to talk to my painter (my dad lol) and get back to you on that one

yeah about 100 dollers plus w/e shipping would cost ya.

 

Who cares if it looks naked? It's naked but it's still hot! I think it looks 10x better w/o the antenna!

The only thing about that **** that can be improved is the 3rd brake light, imo... I think it looks too cluttered. Since you work at a shop. I say you take out the third brake/hatch, make it one piece and put some LED's behind the glass as your 3rd brake light (maybe have the light come from the top like the 350zs have em).

Dunno if anyone's done/said that but, that's my original idea =]

i've thought about something like that, but if im not mistaken it is illeagle to remove a third brake light. i could be wrong but i think it is.

and as for the hatch piece...personally it would be alot easier just to go to your local bodyshop and have them do it...just tell them you were quoted 100 dollers (wich is fairly cheep) but im sure if you find a decent one they will match or come close to the price. its a really easy mod if you have someone to do it

 

depending on how much of the tear down you did your self...would vary the cost ALOT.

if you just sent your car to the bodyshop your looking at 2500+ i would assuming

if you tear it all down as much as you can...it will probably only be around 1200ISH
