That depends on what your desired results for the modification are. If you just want a little better handling at stock height get a Progress Tech rear "Sway Bar." If you want a smooth mild drop get a set of Tein H Tech or Tanabe NF210 springs. If you want a slightly lower, better performing drop get a set of Tein S Tech or Tanabe DF210 springs. If you just want to smooth the ride out a little at stock height get some SensaTrac shocks for the rear.

If you want more adjustability at the lowest price spring for a set of Progress Tech Coil Overs. If you want the ultimate in adjustability install a set of air bags.

It all depends on what you want your suspension to be able to do when you are done with your modifications.

im wantn 2 put sum 18's on it but i dont like the swaying when i take a curve of the off ramp on or off a freeway i dont want the tires 2 rub either

I would recommend a set of Tanabe DF210 springs. My wife's car has 18x7.5 with 215/35/18s right now on stock suspension. If we aren't able to start ordering her air suspension parts soon I will probably get a set of the 2" drop coils for the interim. You can find them reasonably priced on ebay, but I would recommend checking the sponsored sales on this site first. If I am not mistaken C2Auto is having an "everything Tanabe" sale right now. Don't quote me, but I think he has the springs for $150 shipped.

Those spring will close the wheel gap as well as tighten up your suspension without sacrificing much in the way of ride quality.

tanabe or tein, noth are really great and under $200. Might be a little hard to install the front, but the rears are a breeze. If you want less roll get the DC Sports tower brace (good bang for your buck) or the progress rear sway bar, this really helps to knock out the sway.

I have monroe struts on the front and koni shocks on the back with Tanabe NF210's. The drop looks great, not so low that I rub, but takes care of the wheelwell gap. Also with the shocks and struts the ride is way better than stock and it still handles great. The struts are harder to install, but not too bad.

ok so whats the difference between the nf210's and df210's? i dont think i want 2 drop it just yet still trying 2 decide what rims i want stil but it will be 18's though!!!!!! so 4 just suspension the sway bar and tower strut should get me buy or not? i only want to do this1 time and dont want 2 buy parts and they not work then have to buy more? but hey thanks for the inputs!!!!!!!!

nf210's have less of a drop. ~1.5 and also have softer spring rate.

df210's have ~2" drop, and stiffer spring rate.


For 18"s I'd go DF210's and a Progress rear sway bar. Strut bars don't do crap for xB's since the firewall is so close to the strut towers.

drop it with some spings and leave it alone.

The Progress Group rear sway is super easy, the swaying will really diminish once you put springs on it.

i didnt really get anything positive so i made a choice and i bought the hotchkis sway bars front and back and the strut tower brace for the front....... but hey thanks everyone for the input.....
