I was thinking of purchasing the alarm system from scionspecialties. However, I have never installed an alarm system before. I've installed numerous stereo systems, and I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I'm not sure if I should purchase this system because I've heard that alarms are technically difficult to install.

Any advice?

he is a very helpful guy

maybe he can talk you thru the install

just dont run up his cell phone minutes

Doctorcue installed his himself, and he's a computer nerd!! J/K daniel, but seriously he did it himself. And pretty soon I may have to do the same, I really need to hurry up and install this alarm. Looks good on the shelf, but would serve its purpose better on the car. :D

 

what makes this alarm special?

I hear about this alarm all over these boards. Is it because the person selling them is a member - or are they really the best? I saw the picture on his site - wasn't really clear. Are there clearer pictures anywhere? Who makes the system? Why is this system better than the factory Scion Security?
