Default $20,290 for 2006 Civic Si OR $19,600 for Scion tC RS2.0???

I believe that we have all heard about how dissappointed we are with the RS2.0. So now, I am doubting I will get the RS2.0. Since I will be spending just about the same amount of money for each car, I was thinking about going for the Civic Si with 197 HP vs the tC 160 HP.

Mods: Please let me take this survey, as it will help decide my final decision this April. Thanks.

or you can buy a stock tc for $17 + $3K for the super charger.

197hp but they run the same times pretty much - w/ the supercharger you are going to be blowing that car away. I dont know what I would choose if i was in your spot. I like the tc but I like it the way I did mine up w/ the trd springs, lip kit, and small spoiler.

Yeah... imo whatever civic it is... its still ugly. The front kinda fades away into oblivion... very ugly. The older generations are a lot nicer. Get the tC with the supercharger... I think its 4k more installed.

Hah, let the flame wars begin. Honda vs. Toyota. Ford vs. Chevy. Benz vs. BMW

I say do what you like. Drive each and decide from there. Obviously this site will be a little biased. IMHO, you can't go wrong with either.

I think the new Civic SI is sexy and is an awesome car.

That being said, I'd still get a supercharged tC over it.

obviously don't get the rs2 ...theres no point in that....get the tc and raise the hp...i personally don't like the civic (double )...it looks like a saturn ion from the front plus the e-brake looks wierd as heck and screws up the interior.

on the tC, you don't have to get the supercharger though.....you could get an aftermarket turbo such as the ZPI Stage 0 (http://www.zeropointindustries.net/s...e0809c3316ade3) for less than the supercharger, and still get anywhere between 40-60 whp more than the TRD supercharger. or you could go n/a and get an injen intake, mmw headers, draxas exhaust (or any other decent brand), and an NST pulley set. add on an ecu upgrade and any suspension upgrades you feel like and you'll still just barely be gettin to $19-20k

I pick C: Neither, screw both of them and spend the extra dough and shell out and get the new Mark V VW GTI.

Why? If I had to pick between a Honda, or a Toyota, I'd rather have something I know I could count on for being a well made car..so I'd choose VW.

Truth. At least over the past 15 years or so.

I have to say I was disappointed with the "sub" on the RS2.0, If it's upgradeable then...

But I did like the color a lot more than I thought I would. The seats are nice. Blue accents would have been nice but I understand where Scion is coming from.

i've never heard that before either, not just vw but any european cars. you should check out the consumer reports automobile issue, if you're talking about the interior than yeah the gti is much nicer than either of the aforementioned cars but they're not as reliable as a honda or toyota.

Good Luck getting a Si at 20K Most dealerships has mark up (ie. Diamond Bar Honda 2 silver Si's with $7,995 mark up) - $28K

Production for the Si i heard is very limited too.

I'd get a Civic Si. The 2AZ has nothing on the K20...

As mentioned. the scion won't have a mark and the si will have a giant mark up so I think you should talk to people who have already purchased each vehicle and get a "real" out the door price. granted both engines will have their ups and downs. My girlfriend has a 2002 si(i know i know apples and oranges comparing o2 and o6 but hear me out) the 02 still has a k20 and acts much the same. My tc is much more fun around town, the torgue at low rpms blows in the si. however I'm still so disappointed in my (stock) tc above 3k-4k rpm. With the civic however you have ivtec with is just a crap load of fun soo what is this all mean?

If you wanna mod your car and you wanna go NA, go with the si. if you wanna go turbo/sc I think the 2.4 2az will be much more benificial. If you wanna keep it stock, then well do whatever you want.

the tC's upgraded options has nothing on the xB RS3.0. if i didnt already have my tC i would have gotten the rs3

It's true, the Si is marked up at every dealer I've seen. Getting the hottest car on the street for sticker price is gonna be hard.

On the other hand, the RS2 package is just Scion's version of a "mark up"
Just a marketing strategy to make you pay $19k for a $17k car.

My vote: Stock tC in SW with Teins, TRD intake, and 20% tint. Total = $17,500
