The question I have, is that we are considering buying their wheels since they are so inexpensive. However, if in a couple years they are going to look like crap, I will go elsewhere. Since we live in Michigan, the wheels will have to live through the salt.

A friend of mine works at Discount Tire, but anything he says is biased... They pay his paycheck.

Has anyone used these wheels before?

I have a set on my xB now (MB Motorsport Competition). I also had a set on my 1998 Prelude SH (MB Motorsport Weapon). However, these wheels are actually made by A-Tech. They are even stamped "A-Tech" on the wheel.

I don't believe MB actually makes any wheels; I think they just import other wheels and put their centercaps on them.

Anyway, so far, they're great wheels! I really like them. They're pretty lightweight, too. I don't know where they're made; I don't believe they're made in Japan, but I could be wrong.

i have mb rims on my xb that i got at americas tire. i have had no problems with them. they rotate and balance them for free. i have had mine since june 2004.

The wheel you have on your xB are exactly what we are looking at. Though, we are considering the 15s. what size are yours?

I've got 17's with 40 series tires. 15's will prob be to small. I wish that I would have gotten the 18's. They would have filled the wheel well better. Whatever size you get, dont go to small on the tire. When I need new tires, I will prob get 50 series tires because they will fill the gaps better than the 40 series tires. If you get 15's stick with your stock tires. Check their prices because it will more than likely be around same price with new tires on the bigger size rims than with only getting the 15 inch rims. I only paid $499 plus tax for everything.

When we were looking at buying the xB, we test drove a lowered one with 17" wheels and it rode like crap. It was rough, noisy and just didn't feel right. Though it handled better, the "comfort" factor was reduced far more than what we were expecting.

That is why we were thinking of putting 15" wheels on ours using the stock size tires. We were going to use a "summer" tire and then put "winter" tires on the stock wheels.

Since we live in Michigan, the roads are crap so going with low profile tires just gets dented rims.

I use MB Motorsports Drifter wheels (see my profile for pics) and I really like them. I did have one issue with one wheel about 3 months after I bought them from discount tire direct. One wheel had 3 or 4 spots on the inside of the wheel where the chrome started "bubbling" up for really no reason. I called discount tire and they paid to have it shipped back to them to take a look at it and they replaced it with a brand new wheel and had my old tire mounted on it and balanced and shipped back to me for free. That whole exchange took about 5 days including shipping time. I am 100% happy with mine.
