Default My car + Hillarious side skirt story.

BBIST MAKE A 1 PIECE CF REAR LIP PLEASE

So I went out and bought the rs carbon fiber front and sides. The front installation went well except I angled it up to high as you will see in the first set of pictures (now fixed).

Ok on to the sideskirts. Installation was horrible. I had to dremel large portions of the kit off to get it to fit. Days and Days of wedging and moving could not fix the fact that the skirt would not line up without gaps.

Finally I called a friend to ask. He said ok after you took off your stock side skirt what did you do?.....I was all???? Stock side skirt...hahahah omg. Ok long story short took off the stock skirts then put on the carbon fiber sides. Now all fits almost perfectly except that I need to drill a higher hole for the left skirt.

Ok on to the pics...first nice pictures with my high front lip and skirts ON TOP OF THE STOCK SKIRTS.

Ok now for the fixed pics.

The HID's are only 6K the reason for the blue is the combination of a pretty long shutter as well as the use of tugsen white balance settings (my preference).

As for the rear the only CF option is the ugly ___ dirt 2 piece set. Either waiting for the CF 1 piece to come out, or if it takes to long or never goes into production I will just get the ABS and paint black.

Come on, BBist or ABS make a CF rear piece. You have a customer here! And I am socal local and able to help test fit.

Just a plug to my long lost friend (re:old showcar), she made the rounds in HIN , IAS, etc 03-04ish. Promised I would never build a car after her....oh well another bet lost.

Hey aznchild, how do the CF side skirts mount on? do they replace the stock side skirt? or does it go over the skirt? and does it come with the holes pre-cut? thanks. BTW, looking good .

Are those skirts longer than the stock ones?

thats for the comments yo.

The skirts are not longer than stock.

As mentioned you can try to fit the skirts over the stocks which is the wrooongg way to mount them.

Or take off the stock skirts and replace with the CF. THen everything lines up perfectly. Also the holes are not in the skirts.
