Default Last Trip for the xA...a new career about...Enter Yaris

Well.. after the Vancouver BC trip, it was pretty much the last hoorah in the xA. Me and my girlfriend decided to move forward and get the Yaris Sedan in the very near future. A test drive together made the decision based on several factors.

1. Suspension is strikingly familair to the xA, though it is a tad longer, it felt very solid in cornering and heavily acceleration. Not to much torque steer.

2. The engine is the same though they improved the gas mileage on it. It's rated at 104hp though it did feel the same accelerating onto 167.. I think I surprised a riced out Honda Accord...along with the dealer...

3. There is much more interior space and head room. I tend to drive a lot.. I already have 25,000 miles and I like to keep my legs from cramping up. I was able to relax and still have plenty of room for those in the rear seats.

4. I simply love the look, feel, and style of the body. We are more than likey get the Yaris S model. You can indeed fit 18's on it... if you do some minor fender rolling. You can also do that with the Hatch verison which comes out later this Summer.

Finally...

Well I still love all the Scion models, the Yaris will be a new fun toy to have. I will be looking at another 2006 xA this fall but time will tell.

I'm also starting next weekend moving into the Seattle area. I start training for a new job for Scheinder National Trucking... yeah.. I'll be driving those big orange trucks

I ended the railroad job because.. well, it was just to much too soon...the trucking probably won't be any better, but since I like to drive so much I figure this will be perfect for me.

I won't be on Scionlife hardly at all. I'm glad I got to meet so many great and amazing people on this forum. I'll still be around and still be doing photo shoots for those that are interested. I'm in many ways torn on all of this but I figure this is the best decision for myself right now.

I'll be in contact with everybody..if you want my number please PM me.

well, at least I know I won't rack up 25k in alittle over 7 months of ownership

I'm really bummed in a lot of ways to "leave" here. I'll always be around but until I get the laptop and a Verizon Wireless aircard, there isn't much I can do to keep in touch with the world.

I do owe you a BBQ sometime.

So explain the Yaris thing. A couple of miles per gallon more to go with the
couple of cubic feet smaller. What exactly is your draw to it? I know its
a little cheeper with the base line model, but you already have money payed
into your xA. Please do not tell me its the looks.

We didn't pick the car up this weekend, moving everything back a week to get some other items settled out first and hope for good clear weather for the trip.

My main reason for the Yaris is more room, a couple points in gas mileage, body design and the sweet cup holders :D

They have some simular options for the Yaris as they do for Scion. We'll only be paying 15 bucks more a month for the Yaris S so the price difference is no big deal.

Trust me, you'll like what's coming :D Who knows, I may appear at the Kitsap M and G after training and show it off some
