Default Clutch

I checked the search and could not find anything. Is the clutch you can get form the scion site worth getting? And is the quick shifter worth getting? Or should I get it somewhere else.

Last questions and im off to get it

unless you've driven manual your whole life and will know the difference.. the TRD clutch isn't necessary... i might just wear down your stock one before getting it.. my opinion... maybe worth it..

and then i'd get the twm stage 2 short shifter. trd is expensive and it's only 20% throw reduction with stock height.
twm stage 2 is 35% reduction and 2.5" reduction in height

I have the twm - i love it.

the trd is easier to install cause u replace the stick and housing. the others u just replace the stick. ...but i love the twm and wouldnt want anything else. Its shorter and shorter throws ..... the car should be stock like that.

I still have the stock clutch and am laying down an estimated 210 whp with no problems. Once it finally needs replaced I'll upgrade. I also love my TWM Stage 2. Now if I could just find a shift ****.......

you really cant go wrong with most of them - i was looking for the shortest throw and shortest height i could get. I know some place they came out w/ a generic shifter that was the same as one of the brand names but less money. you should look into that because a machined piece is going to be the same if the specs are the same (but w/o the brand name markup)

I am running the Centerforce clutch and lightened flywheel. I really like the way they feel.

it doesn't seem like you get a new housing with the shortshifter.. only the stick.. or maybe i'm wrong

Yes, the TRD Quickshifter you get the whole assembly including the "cage" as they call it.

Let your buddy know that a I/H/E setup on a sohc civic is not reason enough to add a stage 3 pressure plate with 4 puck unsprung clutch.

I have about 60-70 launches at the track with the stock clutch, and easily 30 more on the street. No problems at all (knocks on wood)

I also agree with everyone that the TWM SS is awesome. I got the first one before they had a stage 2, and it's MUCH better then stock.
