ever since i had my cold air intake installed, i've been revving it up a lot (4000-6000rpm constantly) in every gear because i love the sound that it produced which in result, gave me HORRIBLE gas milage. but ever since i converted my cold air intake to short ram intake, i've also been revving the hell out of it also, but somehow, i actually gain gas mileage. to me, that surprised me. do short ram (i use injen) users notice that too?
p.s. is there any harm to not resetting the ecu after converting it from cold air to short ram?
thanks!

Because of Rain, I originally tried to install it as SR at first but the filter that came with the kit was too big. It rubbed on the Fender...So my only option was CA instead of SR. Has anybody else had that problem, the filter rubbing?

yeah my filter almost has a hole because it rubbed against the fender. if it was one ince smaller, i'd try it on SR again. I didnt even get to drive it out with it on SR.

oh yeah about the SRI gas milage thing... my friend said the colder= more power. more power = less gas milage. ive heard about stuff like that but the other way around.

colder, denser air, need more fuel to compensate for running lean. at least that's my take.

hmmmmm, i think that the milage is not big of a difference because i noe a fren he did the CA n SR thing and the milage wasnt greatly affected @ all. It fluctuated between 19-24 mpg.
