we all know that the tC is derived from the avensis platform (which also is shared with the Allion and Premio and Caldina).

recently while viewing the new toyota corolla spy photos on worldcarfans.com, i read this
can we assume then that the next tC will be corolla-based?

I dunno. If they took 500 lbs off the platform and left the engine the same, maybe bumped up a few more ponies... wow!

 

Could be interesting especially if that awd turbo carolla made it to production.

 

By the time that actually goes through, the tC might not even exist.

 

I don't mind if it is, as I may be trading in my tC on a Yaris 2dr anyway.

 

An AWD tC replacement would give Scion something to compete with the Subaru Impreza (WRX/STi) and maybe the Evo. It would be sweet to see a V6 T/Ced AWD car.
