Default Windshield replacement in WA

So, my friend just got a new xB on Saturday. Yesterday she calls me and says that a rock just hit her windshield and now there is a crack in the window. She hasn't even had the car for a week and already has to replace the windshield.

She lives in Puyallup, so somewhere in the south end would be preferred. But if you know of anywhere that does good work for a good price, please let me know.

Thanks.

Normally insurance could cover that, I know when I got mine replaced they did. I went to Safelite Auto Glass. They probably have places all over WA I think. I've seen a couple of em. They did a good job on my car up here in Everett.

If you don't want to go through insurance, call Peter Pan Auto Glass, ask for Tony @ 206-999-3577

Yeah, she would rather not go through insurance. It's just easier for her that way.

Thanks John. I'm not sure that she will want to take the car up to Seattle. She just doesn't have time...she just had a baby about 3 months ago, so that kind of takes up a lot of her time. haha. But thanks again, I'll mention it to her.

I just don't recommend Safelite. They screwed up my CRX something fierce. When I called them on it, they became very unprofessional. It was the Renton location.

I would have recommended Safelite since Toyota of Tacoma used them for all their stuff and we never had any issues........I might have to call glaspro though since I need to get mine fixed but I doubt it will cost that little for mine......

I agree. They did my xb a few months ago and it leaked water into my car. They sent another guy out to redo my car and he scratched my paint up around the rear window(hatch). Safelite ended up sending a third guy out to take my car to be detailed and have the paint fixed. The result was the rear carpet had a slight **** to it from someone using a brush to scrub it, but the paint fix I must admit was really clean. There was one spot that was scraped right to the metal, but when it was done I couldn't even see a thing. They are mobile, but I would have gladly drove it somewhere else if it meant the job would be done right the first time. Just my two cents.

Windsheild was replaced friday morning.... for $216 and change.... lifetime warranty.. and 1 yr free chip repair..... amazed at how clear the glass looks....

sadly tho i'll have to follow up monday cuz upon further inspection... the top center edge seems to stick out about 1/2 inch compared to either sides where they are flush.... looked at other cars at the dealership and fellow parade goers.... they were all flush all the way around...

How'd your follow up visit go? They get it fixed right for you?
