Bought a PW XA 2 weeks ago and took the option to have the rear spoiler installed. After a two week wait to get one ( and I'm in SOCal) the dealer installed it but apparently did not press the left hand plastic cover down hard enough for it to lock into place.
When my wife got the car home the cover was missing.
Now the dealer says he has to order a whole new spoler in order to get a plastic cover! He is doing it, but another wait!
Anybody had a problem with these falling off or how to get replacements after it is no longer the dealer's problem?
Thanks!

I opted not to get a spoiler, but I'd make the dealer eat the cost...which I'm guessing is the dealer is gonna do.

JDR, the same exact thing happened to me, here in San Diego! They ordered a whole new spoiler, then took the part from it and popped it on.
Later on, the bottom piece, to the left ot the light, popped loose, and I took it back for them to fix today.
We are gonna be screwed if the other one breaks, down the road! They just have cheap little plastic legs.

omg! I checked my spoiler this afternoon, and the friggin piece they "fixed" Sunday was totally missing! Went back to the dealer tonight, and luckily, they still had the spoiler they had ordered for the last missing part. So, they replaced the 2nd missing part right away.

SCI FIRE, thanks for the feedback. I hope this isn't a symptom of a continual problem that is going to come from this gear. I think I will see if there is not some type of material that could be put under the piece to help hold it on (RTV?) but that won't mess up the paint or hardened so the bolt holding the spoiler on can't be removed if needed.
I think I will also leave a note on the Scion web site and see if they can't take a look at the problem and if nothing else make the plastic pieces cheap and easy to get.

Seriously, they should. How much will it cost if the parts fall off again 6 years from now? I would be really upset if I had to pay cash for a whole new spoiler just to replace a cheap snap-in cap.

I too had somewhat the same problem with my xB. I added a brake light to my rear spoiler and the paint shop that painted my spoiler failed to replace the caps. Went back to the shop and they were nowhere to be found. Had to order a new spoiler just for the damn caps. Luckly I didn't have to pay for it. I used silicone to keep them in place and to keep water from entering the spoiler.
