on dealer lots? I bought mine in LA in mid May. A 5 speed. I wanted as little extra on it as possible. Had to settle for fog lights, cargo net, and bumper guard. So I paid $15722. I even took the bumper guard off as it looked ugly. (Still had to pay the $58 though :-(
Carson Toyota had a bare bones Lava 5 Speed, but they forced you to pay $2,000 extra for special alloy rims. So that ruled that one out.
Penske Toyota in Downy had one, but put $2,000 rims and a $2,000 sunroof on it. It too had fogs.
Cabe? Toyota in Long Beach put in $2,000 leather and $1800 rims on their 5 speed.
I called about 20 dealers and only found one 5 speed at Symes Toyota in Pasadena, so that is where I got mine.
Was told Longo had 5 of them, but were then sold out two days later when I arrived.
I really didn't need the stereo upgrade , the spoiler, and the glow lights in the cabin that come with the RS. $980 extra for that junk.
Maybe I should have gotten a base model for $14,200 in white, and then paid $500 to get it painted orange. For me, I just had to have the orange. TomSki in Vegas
