on dealer lots? I bought mine in LA in mid May. A 5 speed. I wanted as little extra on it as possible. Had to settle for fog lights, cargo net, and bumper guard. So I paid $15722. I even took the bumper guard off as it looked ugly. (Still had to pay the $58 though :-(
Carson Toyota had a bare bones Lava 5 Speed, but they forced you to pay $2,000 extra for special alloy rims. So that ruled that one out.
Penske Toyota in Downy had one, but put $2,000 rims and a $2,000 sunroof on it. It too had fogs.
Cabe? Toyota in Long Beach put in $2,000 leather and $1800 rims on their 5 speed.
I called about 20 dealers and only found one 5 speed at Symes Toyota in Pasadena, so that is where I got mine.
Was told Longo had 5 of them, but were then sold out two days later when I arrived.
I really didn't need the stereo upgrade , the spoiler, and the glow lights in the cabin that come with the RS. $980 extra for that junk.
Maybe I should have gotten a base model for $14,200 in white, and then paid $500 to get it painted orange. For me, I just had to have the orange. TomSki in Vegas

It would of cost you a lot more then $500 to have it painted and look good. Closer to $2000. The options that came with the package were over $1600. That doesn't even include the price of the seats, the color, colored strut brace. You only paid $980 for all. Even if we go off your $500, you only paid $480 more for colored strut bar, 6 disc changer, two tone seats, spoiler. That alone is about $1500 savings.

Yeah that billit grill we get with the Lava is a really nice durable grade, nothing like the cheap knockoffs being sold all over ebay...Those grills alone can run a pretty penny from what I've heard...

I'm happy with everything I got in the Lava...Aside form it being a kickass color, it came with everything I wanted except for fog lights, an armrest, and a moonroof...Other than that, I'm a happy camper :)

So...Anyone know if there are any hot lava's left on dealer lots? Preferably in the southeast?highly doubt it. You will probably have to buy a used one.

I have been in the HL market for about 3 weeks now. I found 1 still on a dealer lot, because its their demo, and they want way more than its worth. other than that a few used ones are scattered, but they are going for alot more than sticker. Most on ebay bare bones goes for aorund 20 grand

I might sell mine ...... It is in the garage, under covers ! Less than 300 miles, it just sits ......... I will not sell it for less then what I paid .......

Check my profile for some pics ........ The XB has some awesome pinstripping, it was done by hand using HOK Paint, matches the grill and rims and the prange rubber seal along the side of the car .....
