Hey,

Is there any definitive word on whether the 07 xB's will be a continuation of the current model? I've heard mixed things on the site about 06 being the last year for the current xB vs the test mule pictures that came out suggesting that 08 was going to be the replacement year. I can wait until this coming fall if the 07's are going to be redesigned but I'll purchase now if there isn't going to be any changes till 08.

Thanks for any help you can offer in getting some accurate info. on this.

it has been confirmed many times 06 is the las year for the current XB. What the 07 is exactly is up in the air

I don't think there is any indication on what will happen for sure. Everything I have read is very mixed in opinions. I would say if you like the current design but it and enjoy it. The resale value is so strong on the Xb's that if you sold it in a couple of years and purchased the"new" body style you would not get hurt to bad. Remember that all manufactures always go bigger, heavier and more expensive on all new models and the new Xb looks to hold true to these facts.

I don't want a bigger and heavier xB and I think Toyota would be making a mistake to go to something bigger. It sure sounds like the new bB will not become the xB over here, but we will have to wait and see. I would think we would know fairly quickly whats in store for 07. As Jeff said above--the resale value is strong so you won't get hurt. If you want the latest style--you are going to have to wait and see..........

06 is the last year , from what i've heard they will sell 06's through 07 and the xb's replacement will be released late 07.

the 06.5 is the 07.

The 06 gets double time.

My bad.....?

What are you insinuating? I just expressed the common sense of my reasearch.

Am I dazed and confused or do you just not have a clue?

In most Auto manufacturer's circle when a NEW model is announced they can have much difficulty unloading the current models last year of production. I think the opposite is going to happen with the current xB. When the definitive replacement answer arrives from Scion the current model will continue to sell as well if not better and they will unload every remaing xB that comes off the production line. IMO the last year of xB production will easily retain its value and how much depreciation is there on a $15,000 car anyway?? My last car depreciated this amount(15K) in the first year!

Personally, if I don't like the direction of the new xB I will be buying another one('06)and storing it for later use...

You wont see the redesign until the summer of '07 at the earliest. So if you like the current design there is no need to wait unless you wanna wait almost a year to get your new ride. If you like whats available now then just pull the trigger and buy one. Like I said, we are at least 12 months away from the new xB...

there is no official 06.5

just the o6 and the 06 with new interior and steering wheel radio controls.

so if u wanted to say 06.5 as the carry over , sure.

Oh, excuse me. My paperwork for my 3.0 has it as 2006 -

I thought the dash (-) following the 2006 was for 2006.5 considering that a dash after any number signifies a 1/2.
I guess not.

so if u wanted to say 06.5 as the carry over , sure.

considering i'm basically a yr from driving......if the stopped it, i would hunt down a polar white, 2006 xB until i found one

I liked the xB for being different at first and have continued liking it ever since.

BUT... I cannot for one second see myselft liking that second beast you just posted.... nothing against your tastes, but it just LOOKS like a friggin porpoise. You know... the crazy looking white ones, with the hump on it's head.

I just don't think it can hold a candle to the current xB.

I'm not fond of the '07's either, hoping they really don't change them.
