Ok, There was somebody who probably already asked this question,but since I'm AT work i don't have much time on the computer- What is normal RPM idle when the car is not advancing. My car stays about 500-700 RPM's , I know stock was 900-1000.
Is this harmful to my car or is this normal. It feels like it might turn off!. My car is an auto w/ a SP2 cat back exhaust. Any answers would be helpful.

 

As long as you're not stalling or anything, should be OK. Is it jumping around alot or pretty steady?

 

It's pretty steady but feels so low. like it might stall.Any fixes-i/e new spaks plugs?

Wen my fren installed his borla exhaust on his tC it jumped a little lower den usual. but we got a mechanic check it out n did a diagnostics and everything seemed to be alright and der was nothing wrong wit it.

Have had an Injen CAI for about 8 months. Ilde was little low at first, but soon (think computer has to adjust for CAI) ran great. DC Sports headers work well for power also.

 

Had the same problem with mine. Reset the ECU and it runs fine now. 900-1000 rpm range.

 

my car has always idled around 700...
