Almost all the good looking black rims I've seen are 18" or larger, but are there any good ones for the 17" stock tires? I want to get an 18" rim/tire package, but just in case that plan falls through, I might get 17" black rims for my stock tires.

 

What kind of black rims are you looking for? Do you want just a few big spokes, or small spokes or lots of little spokes? Do you want a polished lip? Or all black?

Hmm... I'd look at Drag wheels maybe. They have quite a few black with a lip. Dragwheels.com.

Thanks, I was looking around the dragwheels site on how to order those DR-14 rims, but good thing Racinglab has them has well. I know that it says 17x7 and the bolt pattern listed is 5x100, but these will fit my 17" stock tires, right?

 

Yes... the OEM wheels are 17x7 - so they're the same size.

 

One more question: will the current lug nut set from my current stock rims be compatible with aftermarket rims, or do I have to buy new ones? When ordering from Wheelmax they give you an option to buy a wheel installation kit that's specific to the rims you're buying, but at Racinglabs they don't offer anything like that, and Racinglabs has the rims I want. I'm not sure if Racinglabs offers any kit like that, but if they do I wouldn't be sure which one to get.

 

You'd probably have to buy new ones... but you could get "tuner" lugs at Autozone for like $30.

 

The black ones will look killer! You can keep the same lugs.....paint them black!

I am new to changing rims and such things and I have an xb with standard stock hubcaps(wheels) and tires. I would love to put some nice black rims on it. Would I need to change the tire size or could I keep the tires I have now because that would save me some money and what are soem good choices? Any help would be great thanks!

 

Hey Yank those DR8's look real nice! Anybody have any pictures of them on your tC?

 

Not the stock tires, but they're the same size... They've got a slightly stiffer sidewall, though.
