So even after all this bs went down about me NOT wanting the damn security...why did the dealer tell me it was installed at the port, and in the same breath 10 minutes later tell me to make sure I have the options I want checked off cause they have to order the parts and put them on when the car gets to the dealership...then he goes on to say that I better keep it cause it'll save me money on insurance, and how it works really well..best in the nation cant beat it yada yada yada...What can I get in place of the securty....or should I get?....and what should I tell this crazy ___ dealer? 05 TCM automatic, fog lights bazooka spoiler.

Many options are installed at port. Maybe the dealer ordered a vehicle from port with certain options (maybe just the security system alone) - since they've already placed the order, you've come in and said that you want a vehicle that just happens to have the same basic specs except for the subwoofer, fog lights, etc. They're just going to order the parts and install them as soon as the vehicle arrives.

Don't get it.. that DEALER is a ____IN' Bull____... they may even install a ____in' cheapo SECURITY SYSTEM on your car.. try to research more of the SCION SECURITY here at this forum.. a lot of people didn't like it... one thing that is bull crap is the price... you can have one of those COOL security feature that pages you when your car is being tampered.. also with the same price as the one you pay for the SCION SECURITY, you can even have the automatic CAR STARTER... I had the mistake of getting the Scion security system.. the only cool thing with the SCION security is that you get a SCION Key Fob... but other than that.. I think it is PURE BULL____!... :x .... I tried to test it and still nothing sets off my car even if I tap on the window with a key like what it says on the manual.. it is just ____ing bull____...
I think it won't mess up your insurance. You can just tell the insurance COMPANY that you have a SECURITY feature on your car.. they ain't goin to check on it... and besides your getting an aftermarket security system anyways......
Like I said, try to read and research more about the SCION SECURITY on this FORUM...
Peace BRO... and P.S. Tell your DEALER "S3X says ____ OFF!!!"

If the car is not as you have built it online, vote with your feet and go somewhere that will listen to you and respect your wishes.

Also, the "it will lower your insurance" line is pretty lame too. I had no alarm system installed for 2 months. After it was installed, I called up my insurance company, I save a whole $5 and change every six months. WOW HUGE savings!

Not all insurance places will save you money if you have an alarm. Even LoJack doesnt qualify for insurance. All depends on you Insurance company. Go to another dealer. Post the dealer and persons name here. Call corporate Scion and file a complaint: 1-866-70-SCION

Go to where they sell stock.
I got mine stock with NOTHING on it.
( thanks Sunrise Toyota in Long Island)
ALL options can be had in aftermarket cheaper.
and it's more fun.
If you have a question in one dealership, whip out your cell phone and call another one and see if they tell you the same story.
then report the lying bastards to toyota with the 800 number on the scion website
It's called 'pure price' and they have to follow it.
good luck
