Default A ? bout the cd player?

I have the 6 disc cd-changer in my 05 xb. I have had it for about 3 days now and both wife and I love it. My ? is when I put in a cd-r it sometimes says error 4 and wont play, and the owner's manual says to bring it in and get repaired, but when I turn off the car and turn the stereo back on and eject that cd-r and then load it again, it plays. Why is this? Anyone have the same problem? Please help. Its driving me crazy.

Thanks,
Phil

try burning the cd again, or a different method of burning. I had the same problem for a bit but I tried burning at a lower speed and it worked out ok. Different solutions though. Also the software used to burn the cd-r and or the media used can change this. Luckly cd's are relatively cheap, try some different methods. If you are using a PC try Nero it's a favorite. If using a mac use toast. Don't use itunes to burn on either a pc or mac, it really doesn't give a lot of options when burning. Good luck

I've had that happen to the regular one disc player when I had it in my car. Funny enough it only happened to one cd. It was pretty scratched up though. I am not sure what else to tell you. Try burning the dirty vegas cd to an mp3 cd and see what happens. Sometimes dirty/scratched cd can cause problems. Ever since I got a new headunit the only time I have problems is when I do something stupid like put the cd in upside down. . .ha ha ha. Good luck with the problem.

Default CD Error

I got the same error, with a burned CD. When I brought it into the dealer for my oil change I told them about the error. They replaced the head unit, no problem!
