What a crazy movie! The special effects were AWESOME but at the end of the movie, I must say, I felt like I had to go to church... :nails:

What did you think of it???

it lacked a good story line, it was just sorta 1 killing after another, but i must say the killings were great, i have never seen a movie that made me scream WTF after i walked out of the movie and realized i was back in reality, i give it 2 thumbs up, and a must own on dvd...... when the lil girl is dacncing at the end... AHHHHH scary

Just read a spoiler since I have no intention of seeing it.

Seems crazy and confusing... apparently like the video games.

I acutally really liked it, and thought the story behind it, although not too believeable, was much better than most scary movies. The effects were kool, it was nothing like I expected it to be.

The crap the main chick does in the beginning is erratic and makes no logical sense, but after a while the movie was pretty good. There is a sort of videogamecutscene-esque part near the end though. In reallife and most normal movies, this would never happen. But it's based on a videogame, so I let that one slide. The visuals were badass and the gore was very nice too. The movie seems very symbolic in nature. However I have yet to figure out what the hell the guy with the bigass sword is supposed to relate to. I did find myself giggling like a little schoolgirl at some points in the movie. Of course I was the ONLY one in the theatre doing so... but that's cuz I'm messed in the head. Overall it was pretty cool, even though I hated the ending. If you can go for a matine' or just rent it I'd recommend seeing it. But personally, I wouldn't pay the $7-9 to see it.

Come to think of it, that guy with the big sword was COOL, they need to make a SPAWN figure out of him, with his triangular "helmet"...

Big fan of the original game. The movie had many 'elements' of the first game, however, the plot took a big right hand turn with the cultists, iron head, and the rest. I was happy with the visual elements, however, I was very dipleased with the change in the plot. Boo. Hiss.

What was the original plot in the game? My friend has it but I've never played it myself.

This post actually steers me more towards wanting to see the movie, i am always skeptical of video game to big screen adaptations, they usually blow. This looks real good tho.

Halo in 2 years, now thats a video game movie that should be nuts.

the movie was good ... main reason why i wanted to see it was because mainly silent hill was the very first real scray game i ever played on play station. It was literally scaring the crap out of me that i was hooked. It lacked alot of parts in the game especially mainly because the wife wasnt the one looking for the girl it was the husband. They really took heavy scenes on the school , but the hospital was alottttttttt better in the game.

You guys should really play the game, resident evil has nothing compared to the game.
