$24k for a TC????
hey all, i was the guy that made a topic of TC vs SI and it got locked. i should have searched and it was stupid. sorry if i offended anyone.
anyways i decided to buy a tc. i drove one and its a very nice car. and i looked on autotrader and some TC's were selling for 24k. i never heard of a mark up on a tc so i thought it was kinda strange. im only 17 right now and when i get the TC in summer, my parents will pay around 7k downpayment. then how much should i expect for my monthly payments

Used Scion frequently sell for more than new ones because of availability and you can easily equip a tC to sell for that new with the new s/c available.
In general, you can figure on about 20bucks/month per 1000 financed at 60 mos + or - about 4bucks for outstanding to horrible credit. Just figure and budget on the 20 and you'll be fine.

not sure about payments since it'll depend on the rates you'll be able to get. if you want to save money though you should just buy the car bone stock from a dealer and it'll be under $17k for the car.
the one for 24K must of had a lot of options, and with the monthly payments, it depends on the total price and how long you are financing but it usually works out that every thousand you put down takes about 20 off the monthly payment
your payments are going to be based upon the 7 k down, the options, the warranty, the term of the loan (how many total payments) and the interest rate (how much to borrow the money). there is no way to give an accurate prediction based upon the info in the post.
If you do it for 5 years, you shouldn't have to pay more than $300 a month. If you have good credit, it'll be closer to $240.
However, if you can afford it, you should do a shorter term loan (it will only be about $385 a month for a 36 month loan). The difference between a 36 month and a 60 month loan in terms of interest could get close to $800-1200 depending on your interest rate, even if its the same rate for both time frames. And most 36 month loans carry a rate that is 0.25% less than the 60 month loan.

Don't get a used one... get a new one!
1. Its about the same price.
2. Loans for used cars are about 2 points higher than one for a new car from a dealer.
3. You get a new car, and you get what you want and nothing you don't.
