Default ebay projectors are dangerous and they suck

Judge for yourself. They have been on less than a week and our first rain today.

One light went out due to the water.

Also, I felt the black housing after having them one for about 30 minutes. The plastic felt mushy and soft and very hot over the projector part

comming off ASAP.

the thing about ebay is that yeah you can get the same product of the same brand for less the price, but the quality is crap like grade d or f. always ask the seller if the product is new from the factory or been sitting around for a while

I got some from ebay also. As soon as I saw the moisture inside, I removed the headlights ans sealed them with clear silicone and now it is fine.

My dad and brother just got them off.

THey said they are junk...the seals have voids everywhere.

Also one more thing, the clear lens on these are not lexan, but a cheap plastic. My dad has been in car repair and restoation for a long says, they will yellow in a year from the sun.

Good quality head lights from the factory are pressure tested for leaks.

These have no quality control about them at all. I WILL SEND THEM BACK.

I bought my projectors on ebay also. I haven't had any problems with getting fogged up. When I bought them I opened them up to replace the OEM color led's and resealed it though. I would do the same if you are unsatisfied with them. Remember it's never too late, but yes it is a pain in the cornhole.

Almost every ebay projector has the fogging issue.

Which is why, if you searched, people have had the same problem that you've had, but fixed it by resealing.

Hmmmm. I have these same lights, from eBay, and I have not had the fogging issues or the aim issues others are having. I did check mine prior to installing and the seals were fine.

I guess I got lucky.

Yes, quite a few. Bad snowstorm as well. Two weekends ago driving through central IL, The traffic on the interstate I was travelling on came to a stop several times due to rain alone. When stopped I could still see no further than a couple cars in front of me. It was the worst weather I have ever driven through in any vehicle and guess what... no fogging!

They did once develop some very slight fog, but that was when a slushy mix of snow was piled against them. When I removed the slush, the fog disappeared immediately.

Sorry about your luck.

I had my ebay projectors on for about a year and never had any fogging issues. I live near Seattle and it rains a lot. ebay has been good to me, just have to do a little research and be careful.
