Default Panorama Sunroof part of $5380 package on Lexus ES (pics)

The new Lexus ES sedan has the tC sunroof as part of the "Ultra Luxury Package". I subtracted everything that is available separately or in other packages and got $1835 for the sunroof plus power rear window shade and leather/wood steering wheel (but you can only get it as part of the full package). That makes a total list price of $39,245.

it may just appear that way because we have a black interior. So if you look down at the same view it will appear to be darker in a tC. Just a thought.

Yes we were. Now Toyota can make a big profit on it.

Lexus owners can be proud that they have such a premium luxury feature while we can gloat how cheap our cars are. I would rather boast about the latter.

Doubtful. Sunroofs shatter, glass does that from time to time

It looks like they made the two sizes more similar to one another, rather than having the front one obviously larger than the rear. And as far as tinting goes, they will probably be the same roughly 20% tint as is currently on ours. That's industry standard. It just looks lighter because Lexus photos want to emphasis the size of the sunroofs. Having a slate black roof in the latter pic won't show off that.

If they perfected it enough to put it on a Lexus, maybe they can apply some of that know how to fixing the incessant rattling mine has.

uh.. why does it matter if it's FWD or not? It's a luxury car, not a performance car.
