View Full Version : I hate 16 year old truck driving kids!!
TwisTeD_ScioN 06-05-2004, 07:58 AM Someone hit the side fender of my xA while i was parked and people were outside!!! The side marker panel light popped out and the bottom of my right fender got chipped and dented in deep. Does anyone know how much a replacement part for the fender runs about *light still works, just need the actual body part*
Thanks in advance.
J_A_Trevino 06-05-2004, 09:09 AM that sux bro, was it a hit and run? i also hate when all these little kids parents get them cars and immediately they want to go race and act a fool. we have alot of those down here.
TwisTeD_ScioN 06-05-2004, 03:08 PM yea it was a hit and run while i was parked. Insurance dosen't take care of that stuff do they?
R_Soul 06-05-2004, 03:19 PM They Should Hope you have a low deductable the fender wont coat you to much its the painting it to match thats going to cost.

Hell yea they do. Thats why you have insurance. Had the same thing happen to me about a year ago. Had to pay a $500 deductible, but insurance picked up the rest. Total bill was like $2,800 for new quarter panel, paint and some damage to the frame and rear bumper. You should definitely file a police report within 24 hours of the incident (with the station nearest where it happened) . This will make dealing with your insurance company much easier. Otherwise they might try and screw you.
I would file that report today if you haven't already done it. Best thing to do is call the popo dept and get the address for where you should come in. Have a decent sense of the layout of the area where it happened because you will need to draw a little picture on the form. Know the exact address and the name of the cross-streets etc.
Sorry to hear about the ride. That sucks ____.

Be careful, your rates may go up. I say this because if you go and have an estimate done, and its really not that much, then dont tell your insurance. Have a garage look at it if your unsure of the structural integrety (?) to tell you if something like the frame is bent. If not, then look into buying parts and installing them yourself. It will save you money in the long run.
bBted 06-06-2004, 12:23 AM that sucks...remember a year ago, some 4x4 backed into my accord's hood and crashed it....it was hit n run too....
i didnt bother to call insurance since my deductable is $500...so i went ahead and bought a CF hood
mikochu 06-06-2004, 01:10 AM Yeah, I see a lot of accidents with parked cars here on campus. While on my way to class, this girl in a pick up truck clipped a parked accord. I saw the accord dip down, then spring back up like a bobble head. I was like "HOLY ____!" Good thing the girl stopped and waited for the owner of the accord to come out. I would've gotten her tags and called parking services...
BLKScion 06-10-2004, 03:07 AM Last summer someone backed into my motorcycle . I was at the mall. They didnt leave there number or anything...so girl in the lot told me they backed into there spot and went into mine (behind theres), it knocked my bike over, had to get new plastics, head light, and a new front ferring...good thing for insurance
breunor 06-11-2004, 01:40 AM We need to get the NRA and neighborhood watch to team up for crap like this. See an idiot hit a car and leave, blow their head off and auction their ride to pay for repairs! Mall "cops" could get a shotgun just for this! j/k, well, except for the couple times I've done it...
tinybigrig 06-11-2004, 04:43 PM my xb has had two hit and run incidents now, got damn people, but thats why i have unisured motorists coverage no deductible, no rate increase....has been a life saver
