Something about the top grill just doesn't look right. The Volvo S40 or any Audi look similar, but they're done correctly.
I love the view from every other angle, though.

yea it looks like a lot of different cars I think thats a reason why some people like it... the only thing I'm afraid of is that there won't be many performance parts for awhile to use on it...or any mods period minus the ones from scion like the exhaust and strut bar.

-Not enough head room
-Reliability problems (not up to Toyota Standards)
-Storage room
-Blind spot
-Stock Stereo not good enough (might need to replace sooner then expected)
I think those problems will be ok, but I am most worried about:
-Not being able to get one soon enough :D

I agree with poster on the stock stereo. I am hoping it is good enough and not spend extra $ on amp/speakers. But then I have a Corrolla now which is great but nothing spectacular like the tC.
This car might be too good to be true. All the reviews have been A-/B+ and there are so many standard features. This is way I am picking the tC over the Mazda 3.

I was considering purchasing the Mazda3 as well, but there are lots of issues popping up. Here are the ones that concern me the most:
-Weak A/C unit
-Excessive rear break dust/grooves forming in break rotors
-Sunroof water leak
-Squealing breaks
cypher50

- That panoramic moonroof...all that glass worry me if it gets cracked and needs to be replaced. Also, although we have heard countless times that it is made with the most advance gaskets & sealing, I can't help but worry about leaking...
- Stereo sound quality...I don't care much about how loud it is but I do care about how good it sounds...
- Interior fabric quality: I wanted to get leather but that is not an option so I hope that the quality of the seats are better then average.

I have to comment on this because everyone keeps mentioning the Civic thing:
People, the Civic has been around for decades and has been a popular tuner for almost two decades...I don't think you are going to have to worry about the tC hitting critical mass with the mainstream crowd for a very long time. Even if it is massively popular in the import crowd, I doubt sales for the tC will top 100,000.

The 92's are about the lowest rated tire in their class, and for valid reasons. It is not my personal opinion. $800 - $1000 is not necessary for a far better and safer performance a/s (or summer) tire.

Yep. I'm talking SEATS. Not luxury items or amenities or engine size. Seats. The exact type of item that a $16,000 car can do just as well as a $26,000 car.
And the Ion Red Line and the Scion tC are essentially the exact same price considering the tC needs the supercharger to match the Red Line's horsepower. So those both become $20,000 cars at that point, and the seats of one look great while the other looks like they were modeled after the 1992 Dodge Shadow.
Guess I should see them for myself in person before I criticize much more....

Sure they could make the seats just as nice as a $26k car in a $16k car. They would just have to cut cost some where else.
Car makers have to weigh what they want to go all out on, and what they want to cut costs on. I would much rather have seats that are not quite as pretty as the ones in $26 cars then have a underpowerd engine, or sucky handling or something.

Seats ARE luxury items. If they weren't, why wouldn't the seats in the Neon be the same as those in a Maybach or S600.
