very easy install, check out the tech section for a diy, also look in the sponsored sales for the YDR short ram, it comes with a K&N filter and works great.

I went for the injen, myself. I listened to what alot of peeps experience was with different intakes before deciding. The injen is kind of the standard aftermarket intake now...but the YDR is identical to it in every way. Check it out first. I've heard those weapon r things are crappy and cheap.

Right on.. and the whole thing should cost you around $85. The K&N filter alone costs around $50 if you bought it separate.

Install is super easy..check the tech section. My injen took about 15 minutes to do.

If you didnt already know about this, there is an nice lookin and unique intake. Looks nice and works just like a short ram.http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=107269

If you want to go cheap on the short ram, go with the YDR. If you want what in my opinion is the best design short ram on the market go with Fujita F5. Ptuning has good prices on the Fujita intake, though not near as cheap as the YDR.

well if there are any scion clubs near you, you might want to check with the members if they have an intake for sale. I was able to pick up my aem cold air intake for $50. and it is pretty easy to install. only thing I had to do was go buy a lil bit of hose to replace the old one that went to the valve cover.

you only have to worry about carb if you live in cali though but I dunno where h-town is or is shortened for. so they are both legal for 49 states

i just figured everyone knows h-town but yea its houston .thanx for all the replys . im thinkn the ydr cuz it sounds like the best, cheapest one (cuz man i just dropped 20k on it so im broke)the only hting im nervous about is , it just seems like its takeing alot of the intake out and its gotta be good for something or they wouldnt of engineered it in there , so are there downsides to the new intake besides droppn mpg. ?
