i see.. i think its just fine.. it sounds the best between 2krpm and 3.5krpm.. it gives that low sound like a car that sounds strong. It's has no rasp to it whatsoever.. I am extremely happy with it btw!

This is one of the new version Megan exhuasts, correct? Is that black thing a silencer of sorts?

I think it looks fine. Never been a fan of JDM slant on tC, but nice nonetheless.

I just installed the Megan catback today as well.

NO BUMPER BURNING! NONE!
It fits like a charm. I assume they fixed their design flaw...

Just have a rattling issue, need to remove the brace underneath.

Its really loud, but I still love it.

Took me a little longer, because I also installed the Megan Spipe, damn sensor strip'd in the stock spipe. Was fun getting that out.. But it works and im happy.

I have the same exhaust, they are a sponsor on our car but I will still be honest in what I say, I promise

I generally do not care for what I consider ricely looking exhausts but this one really does look nice on the car. Once boosted though I will probably remove the muffler as will be running a high flow metal matrix cat, that and the resonator should be all I need.

With the butt plug in, what I call the black part mentioned above, I find the sound not as loud at idle but more high pitched and a bit raspy in the higher rev ranges.

With it out the idle is deep and growly, a bit loud to say the least but as soon as you rev up much it quiets down nicely and sounds very good.

I did drive bys with my son listening, he has been to some serious car races and knows good sounding exhaust and hates raspy and fart cannon systems as much or more than I do.

Without the butt plug he said it was a bit loud right off idel but then mellowed out and sounded very good when crusing by, shifting early. Then I went down the road on the corner and through 3rd gear and he liked it alot, said it was not very loud either.

Then we plugged it back up, did the same runs, he said it got a bit raspy and was actually louder at higher RMPS or just so more annoying that it seemed louder.

As we were talking a raspy Honda went screaming(at least he thought he was going fast) up the road and he said it was at least 3 time louder than our car either way.

Conclusion, nice system, nice sound, looks pretty good(we will eventually have ours look nearly stock though, personal prefference and Megan is ok with that

Setup, stock header installed for now so there is a cat in the system, S pipe was also changed to the Megan.

02 sensors can be a bear to remove and many times seem to strip out but that is usually seizure, not cross theaded.

It is best to have the unit, S pipe or header, out of the car, completely cold, spray with WD40 or similar product, let it sit for some time, overnight is even better, use a proper sensor socket, work the unit in and out a bit at a time to free it up instead of tryin to force it out in one direction only. Loosen a bit, then tighten, the loosen a bit more then back in a bit, spray again, then back and forth unti finally all the way out. This will usually let you get it all the way out without damaging it , they are a bit costly so be carefull.

^^ I did everything you said to do, but letting it sit overnight.

Spipe Sensor -1
Me -0

I rethreaded it with a dremel, and all is good.

You want to keep the brace underneath, just put a jack under the hangers on the midpipe and jack it up until they bend a bit, what I did, works just fine

Acutally I used a Gorilla bar once jacked up and help them bend just a bit more, took us all of 5 minutes maximum.

I took a 4inch worm clamp, and clamped the pipe down to brace, solved it for me.

I hope I am not misunderstanding this buddy Did you use the clamp to bend the brace or the hangers, please do not tell us you used the clamp to make things not rattle and it is still on the car!!
