Unfortunately I believe it is going to have to be sanded and touched up with some paint becuz it dried over night before I noticed it. Also does anybody have any ideas on what to use for the plastic watershield on the inside of the door?? I guess one of my parents must have chucked it.

go to a local hardware store(HOme Depot, Lowes) and buy a sheet of plastic wrap, or like outdoor roofing plastic sheets and then cut it to the door. Use the door panel as a guide and just use a razor to cut it.

Dry ice is what you use to take off OEM sound deadening... maybe try that for the v3 stuff?

guys... it's not that the hatch is dinged...

he accidently painted the v3 sound deadening stuff too far and now it shows even though he has put the plastic covering back on the hatch. look around the edge of the plastic part on the hatch in his pictures :D

Thanks Neothin and I actually had alittle bit on the passenger door too. But today when I was installing my edi6500 I was able to get it off with a razor blade and a bottle of water. It came up nicely. Now all I need to do is find a place behind the kickpanels or behind dash to mount my crossovers. Anyone with pics?

Uh.....okay.....?

Pretend I'm a caveman.

Caveman clicks on this posts, sees pictures of some part of the hatch that is never seen since the hatch is closed.

Told that these pictures of an area that is never seen is messed up, visually...

So your panties are in a ruffle because an area that is not normally visible is visually messed up??

I don't see the problem either.

Explain it to the caveman!

Well sorry to hear hokie that you are a cave man but as stated in the post before yours I also said I actually had alittle bit on the passenger door too so lets see it is on a door panel and on the hatch it is visible as long as you look at the door, so if you were say looking at something else... the items in the hatch or something else you would not see. But thats like saying ok someone accidentally got blue paint on the top of their exhaust pipe(only visible when say squating down and checking out the exhaust)... I know someone on this board would have a problem with that. But hell according to you since it is an area that is not normally visible than whats the big deal.
Oh well I appreciate your help anyways man. Peace

Ok, Mr. Caveman :D

Suppose he shows his car, and the hatch/door is open? Or even if he just opens the hatch to show a friend his new install and friend says "Ewwwwww! What's all THAT stuff?!??"

In other words, this is something that may not be seen by others while the vehicle is all closed up and driving down the street, it IS something that can be seen by others.

(Just the fact that it was there and not right would be enough to upset most owners, even if no one else ever saw it. )

Or Mr. Caveman,

Lets see, he said that his car doesn't have to be ready until September. Im pretty sure that its safe to assume that the his car is going to be on display at some show at this time.

At these shows, people can keep their hatch open in order to show off the systems. When people see that green stuff, they are going to think carelessness or something of that nature.

You get it now?

Haha...

Damn if someone were to inspect my car, they'd find a zillion little pieces of foam wedged around my hatch between metal and plastic...

But damn, that car is suuuuuuuure quiet over the bumpy roads.

The cost of fixing all the hatch rattles.
