Default How do you like your TC?

Ok i just wondering how every one likes there TC im thinking about getting one. Right now i own a 2005 honda civic and i dont like the car at all. So i thinking about trading it in for eather a TC or an Acura RSX. I love the way the TC looks and i know theres a pretty big after market for it, But i just want to know what every one thinks thanks.

for the money, and i've had friends (tc owners) who test drove RSXs and they said it's sluggish, i guess it's personal preference, and call me biased, but the tC is still the best bang for the buck out of ANY car in the class imo.

I've had my 06 s/c tC for 6 months now and LOVE it. It gets lots of looks, has good interior room, and is a ton of fun to drive.

^^ i agree best bang for the buck. but if you have the money, id say go with the RSX Type S. i mean if your looking for a big after market, rsx has it. or if you dont wanna be pushing 23 to 24k then id say the civic si would do too. but IMO i think the scion community is one of the best perks of owning a scion. everyone is very helpful.

I love my tC in comparison to my brother's 03 base-grade RSX. I assume I'm very used to my car, but when I drove his the other day the steering feel was so... mechanical. It's hard to understand, but however you express it, I wasn't a fan. The tC is a great all-around car.

I have had my TC for like a year and I like it, but want a faster car. I think I'm gonna trade it in after summer for a WRX. I should have bought a factory turboed car. Its a great car, but if you want a fast car get a factory fast car.

If you are going to get one in a couple months, check with local dealers. Some areas seem to have them in stock, while others do not. When I ordered mine, it was a 6 week wait at most, if not all, local dealers. So...if you're going to have to order one and want it in a few months, you might want to start thinking about ordering it soon so the timing works out.

I'm in the same boat and also drive a 2005 Honda Civic. Two guys I work with and my friend all have tC's and I see them all the time. I've always wanted a coupe and my parents chose and pay for my car, however if I were to trade it in it would be negative equity. I think I have fairly good credit so I'm thinking that hopefully it's only a matter of time that I can pay off some credit cards and save for a down payment . I just wonder if I would be satisfied with the power (i love the looks). Right now I'm only at 90 whp (its an auto EX)

I'd have to agree that the tc is the best bang for the buck. If you are interested in the aftermarket and modification then you definately want to go with the tc over any newer honda or acura. For those who haven't noticed when honda switched to the macpherson struts and the k series engine they changed the engine bay to a smaller size and added a very large subframe. Where as the tc they made the engine bay large and the subframe is not in the way quite as much as on a honda. It still needs to be removed on occasions however you can work around it in most cases.

Yeah well i know that the dealerships in my area have them in stock i can see them out front and all. But i would want to customize it. It about it being fast it would be alot faster than my car alot lol. I mean my cars not to to slow but not to to fast.

i agree on consumer report that the tC isn't sporty. after i test drove the Si i can see a lot of difference. well, even without driving the si i felt the tc's steering isn't quick enough. takes some muscle to turn the wheel and you got to turn it a bit more for the same effect compared to si.

i would of gotten the si over the tC if i was to do it over again, si is a lot more fun to drive imo.

look wise i think the tc looks a little better although sometimes the car doesn't look as attractive in some lighting and angels.

of course test drive one and see how you like it. i'm just giving you my inputs. others are welcome to disagree.

i'm a bit concerned about the built quality of the car. with all the rattles and cheap feel of some of the materials on the interior.

i still have issues with the transmission every once in a while. rough shifts, nothing major.

the paint has me worried. I detail cars to make money and as such, i take better care of the paint than most people on here. Even so, i've found places on the car where paint is actually turning a rusty color (under the hatch struts mostly). The main body panels are fine though.

The car does rattle. It didn't for the first 2-3k miles, but after I got my springs installed, they started. It's really not that big of a deal. I can't hear them over my exhaust/music anyways. if you drive around w/ the radio off alot though on stock exhaust, it might become a nuisance. I'll be sound deadening the car this summer so hopefully i'll be able to knock a few of these rattles out.

overall i think the car is sexy as hell. it has nice lines and curves.

i give it a 7/10

The interior room for tC is bigger than RSX. Especially the back seat, you can't really fit 3 people in the back seat in RSX because of the small room for heads.
I was thinking if i should buy RSX or tC, and I chose tC, i think i made a right decision and i am happy with it.
I drove nearly 5k miles. I love when people check out my car.

Default tc or?

Well i have had my second TC for about a week, i bought a silver one in October 06- and i loved it, got into an accident and by the way they crash really well when you get rearended- but i loved the fact that the people who buy these cars are like a big family. I joined our regions club as soon as i got one,and now i am hooked. I love going to meets, and car shows, and doing mods to my 2nd car.

I just got the RS 2 #736 because i love the color, and i needed a new car after my wreck- although the body shop who fixed my car at last was awesome-Camelback Scion- Phoenix, AZ is the greatest .
But i love the car- great perks and great car for the price. I would go for the TC. It is the greatest.
